A quick question, when we call them do we ask them to support the now house passed H.R. 459, or S. 202?

S202. It is a COMPANION bill. Ask them to pass it WITH NO AMENDMENTS. Last time they passed the senate version with really watered down text and the conference committee just adopted the senate version.

Good to see John McCain on there. We all know he likes sunshine.

Notably missing it Toomey...but I don't think the Republicans are going to be the problem. This bill needs Democrat support to stand a chance.

Ask them to co-sponsor S202.

If they are a Republican you can remind them that HR459 passed with nearly unanimous(all but one) Republican support.

You should make 3 calls, your two Senators, and also Harry Reid.

Dear MINION,

I wanted to provide you with a brief update to let you know that I am a cosponsor of S. 202, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011. Your advocacy for this legislation made a difference, and I look forward to supporting the bill when it comes to the floor for a vote.

Again, thank you for taking the time to let me know about your priorities in Congress. I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Sincere regards,

Roy Blunt
United States Senator

Question: my senators are Baucus and Tester. WTF am I supposed to do? A phone call isn't going to do jack to sway these two rejects.

Lots of phone calls might. Get 5 or 6 friends, family, etc to call too. Tweet, write, email...everyday if you have to.

Tester is in a tough re-election campaign. He may cave in to pressure but you will have to find a way to get lots of people to pressure him. If he holds any campaign events, attend and ask.

I believe Harry Reid want's it to go to the floor and pass, but...it does not have enough cosponsors. That's why Ron Paul said 'call your senators'.

Harry Reid could throw the bill on the floor as it stands just to get people off his back, then who's to blame if it doesn't pass?.

Contact your Senators until they agree to cosponsor S 202.
