Russia: the wild wild west of driving

I couldn't do 13 minutes of that stuff...

not and still be able to drive.

I liked the car that got caught on the electric wire at the intersection and did a flip.

LOL at 5:41 after crashing the driver nonchalantly grabs his stuff and walks away....

The first clip in this video was also a favorite.

Meanwhile in Russia:

I've seen that happen in Mexico too. I understand if you get into an accident and you don't have proof of insurance, you get locked up till you can prove you have the ability to pay for damages. It might be like that there too. Sometimes it's best to just get the heck out of Dodge before the cops show up.

Yeah, I was wondering if the guy was driving a stolen car.... or is registration optional in Russia? It'd be nice to just walk away...

I've seen a few of these videos, my gut tells me there's a problem with private property, insurance, etc. i.e., the people aren't liable for their actions or they have nothing to lose, so they don't really care.

I guess "hand tight" is good for your car's lug nuts in Russia. Jeez, wheels all over the place

Does anybody want to see insane?

Lane splitting refers to a two-wheeled vehicle moving between lanes of vehicles that are proceeding in the same direction. More narrowly, it refers to passing stopped or slower moving traffic between lanes at a speed greater than surrounding traffic.[1][2] It is also sometimes called lane sharing, whitelining,[3] filtering, or stripe-riding.[4] Alternatively, lane splitting has been used to describe moving through traffic that is in motion while filtering is used to describe moving through traffic that is stopped.[5][6]

Lane splitting by motorcycles is generally legal in Europe, and in Japan and several other countries, and is illegal in many U.S. states, but is legal in California.

The legal restrictions on lane splitting for bicyclists can be the same, such as in California.[7] In some jurisdictions, such as Nebraska and Utah, lane-splitting is prohibited specifically, and only, for motorcyclists.[8]

Actually very common... one of my good friends is from Russia and he stays driving crazy with a dash camera is a big hobby over there.

That and drinking vodka all day apparently.... That video makes bad American drivers look like Dale Earnhardt Jr.

This is, quite literally, insane. Unless it were absolutely necessary to take that kind of risk, it's utterly foolish to do so. I call that 4 minutes of pure luck. Any of those vehicles could have swerved, abruptly changed lanes, etc. that would end that guy's day, badly.
