It doesn't really have much to do with my opinion of him except that he is hypocrite. He praised the death of Jerry Garcia calling him "just another dead doper".

The man has taken ridiculous amount of oxycotin, which is basically herion. This is also the reason why his hearing has been on the decline.

From what I've heard, prolonged use of oxycotin doesn't exactly do wonders for intellectual stimulation. Never took it so I can't verify that. But, I've seen mental depreciation in people I've known from the past who've taken oxy for a period of time. The only thing I can say in Rush's favor is good job on getting off the stuff. He just doesn't seem consistently conservative like I've known him to be back in the 90's. I felt it necessary to depict him as a recovering drug addict because of his blatant hypocrisy on the issue. Didn't mean to offend anyone... It seems everyone is on edge here. Go canvass a neighborhood, let off some steam.

What i thought was interesting, is that Rush's tech team played the canned booing when he said Ron Paul was getting wierder by the minute, but they played crowds cheering at every other part of the "speech". Sounds like he may actually LIKE RP.
