The following is a transcript from today's Rush Limbaugh show in which he was discussing recent Huck scandals and the reason that Huck is not going to be on Meet the Press on December 23, while RP will be:

This is the stuff that happens when you're the front-runner out there, and when you're at least surging into the lead, and a lot of people are taking aim at Huckabee now. It will be interesting to see how he's going to react to it. One thing he's not going to do, is go on Meet the Press. You know, Russert has offered all of these candidates an option to appear for a full hour, and Huckabee has turned it down. He doesn't want the media scrutiny right now. He's going to run his TV ads and do whatever. Ron Paul has run in and said, "Okay, if Huckabee doesn't have the guts to go on Meet the Press, I will! I'm not afraid of Tim Russert. I'll go on Meet the Press!" So Ron Paul's going to be there instead of Huckabee, who's going to continue to rely on his TV ads.

Works for us... Russert has a nice Fox news clip to slam Huckabee with.

I think the Huckster isn't on Meet the Press because it conflicts with Chuck Norris' schedule. Huck feels safe when he has Chuck Norris at his side (thats cute).

Russert is one of the most aggressive interviewers out there ... but Ron is bound to do better than Giuliani or Romney.

I like the point they made in the article how the Huckster is like the Clintonesque, very much a charmer....say one thing, then get in office and do another......... he's really deceitful...... he's so pandering....anyone who panders is not much of a person of principle

No, the inside scoop from my brother-in-law's cousin (twice removed) who has neighbor who's uncle works with a guy who's wife knows Tim Russert's dog groomer says that Huckabee won't come on the show because Russert refuses to super-impose a cross behind Huck's right shoulder.

Do you guys think this will be a little more forgiving than the Beck interview?

Beck interview was a piece of cake. Russert is tough but fair. Other than the last few minutes, Beck interview was fine.

Be careful what you wish for. Meet the Press is either going to make or break this campaign. I hope Ron is ready, unlike this morning on Fox and Fiends. :)

Dude, that's hilarious. Russert caricature (okay, I know I didn't spell that one right). He asks tough questions, which'll be great for Ron. Sunday the 23rd - I'm glad I requested off from work (not because of the show, unfortunately, but hell, I don't even have MSNBC).

Ho ho ho!

Dr. Paul will have just the right prescription for Mr. Russert! I am so proud of our candidate right now, that it is unreal!

Someone has to convince Dr. Paul to sleep for an entire day prior to this event. He can't be all worn out and baggy-eyed for this opportunity. I realize there's not much time left but from what I understand, this is his best media opportunity yet, right?
