Running Mate Dreams

Putting the cart before the horse, what would your "dream team" look like in November? My wildest dreams say a mixed ticket, President Ron Paul and
Vice President Dennis Kuchinich, would be unbeatable. Dr. Paul and Congressman Kucinich are in synch on multiple issues and they like each other. Bi-partisanship to the max. I see libertarians, democrats, and republicans lining up to vote for Paul/Kucinich on election day. Well, so much for MY dream, how about yours?

If he picks me I'll quit my 9-5. I don't even need the VP mansion, he can auction that bad boy off and put the money towards erasing the debt.

Kucinich. We would get a whole lotta Dems who refuse to vote for a straight-up Republican. (Many of the Obama people aren't going to want to vote for Hillary as well. I think they'll believe they owe something to Kucinich for giving Barack his votes in Iowa).

[insults deleted - Mod]. There is no way in hell Ron Paul would ever put a leftist socialist like Kucinich on his ticket. [insults deleted - Mod] And I can assure you, if RP did something like that, not only would I lose all respect for the man, but he would also not get my vote. I would simply stay home that day. There is not one single, sane and real Ron Paul supporter on the planet, that would really go along with a ticket like that.

Andrew Napolitano might be good. Peter Schiff as secretary of treasury.

A Paul/Peroutka ticket would be ideal, to me.

Just IMHO, that's a horrible reason to choose someone (or to wish that Dr. Paul would do the same).

That said, here are my top four choices at the moment, pretty much in order:

• Thomas Sowell
  
  
• Andrew Napolitano (though Paul might fare better to have him as a SCOTUS appointment)
  
  
• Fred Thompson
  
  
• Walter Williams

Other names I've seen put forth but am not entirely enthused about:

Steve Forbes, Dennis Kucinich eek, Alan Keyes, Pat Buchanan, and Newt Gingrich.

One I haven't seen anyone mention is Mike Ditka.

If you'll recall, the RNC tried to get him to run for the same seat in IL (opposite Obama) that Keyes ended up running for.

Why would he choose Kucinich? He couldnt even get 1% in ANY state. He brings nothing to the ticket. Napolitano brings INSTANT validity and TRUST, plus he is a well known name and is the only person that I have heard who has said he would support a third party run. Sarah Paulin nor Sandfor are going to leave the party nor should they. THey can continue reforming it and have plenty of time to run in the future.

Check out this tape of Dr. Paul on Jay Leno, about 5:30 minutes into the tape. Then sit down and read a book or two while you are eating your crow. Your vocabulary could use the boost.

Goldwater and Napolitano are fine, but Gary Johnson is the way to go, to give the Ron Paul campaign some serious executive experience (Johnson was governor of New Mexico before Richardson.)

We need Napolitano for his first Supreme Court appointment anyway.

There are other good candidates out there, but if they haven't already endorsed Ron Paul, let's not give them anything significant.
