"Just how panicked is Rudy Giuliani starting to look? After initially trying to play in various other states and then pulling out in order to bet it all on Florida, he's now downplaying the need to win a primary even in Florida.

"In an interview on Fox News today, Rudy was asked by Neil Cavuto if he needed to win in the Sunshine State. "I don't think any candidate ever puts himself in a corner and says, must win, have to win, must win," Rudy said."

Conservatives don't like McCain. And most of them don't trust Romney.

But for some reason they still believe that Rudy would make a strong CiC.

I've heard from someone on POTUS '08 that Rudy is tapped, but he is tapped because he already made all of his ad buys for Florida and for Super Tuesday. He's not getting out before then, and he's probably confident that no other serious candidate can advertise like he can for Super Tuesday without spending a huge chunk of his personal wealth.

I do think that Rudy still discounts RP as not being a "serious candidate" despite getting beaten by him in almost every race thus far.

I figure this article is the MSM's effort to bolster his limp campaign. Why else would RP's 2nd place finish in Nevada get no news while Giuliani kept getting air time every hour.
