Within the past week, Senators Cory Gardner, Steve Daines, and Jim Risch have endorsed Marco Rubio. So have Reps Mike Pompeo and Kristi Noem.
They all have something in common: all of them have been elected to Congress in the Obama era. They are relative newcomers. But they also aren't Tea Partiers, at least in my opinion. That also applies to just about all of his previous endorsements:

I don't really know what to make of it, but I find it interesting.
