Ru Paul's Drag Queeer has no time for homophobic dog whistles at Christmas: ‘Fuck family’

You were saying something?

I couldn't hear you over the loud queeer.

Nothing to see here, other than perhaps one of the sweetest story book characters ever written, Cindy Lou Who, being re-imagined by a male queeer demon as a drunk, drug addicted slut.

Drag Race icon Miz Cracker has no time for homophobic dog whistles at Christmas: ‘Fuck family’

Drag Race favourite Miz Cracker plays The Grinch’s Cindy Lou Who as a “hard-drinking, pill-popping, very experienced woman” in her “ungodly” new Christmas show.

Told entirely in Dr. Seuss rhyme, Cracker’s one-woman show Who’s Holiday! follows Cindy Lou through the hard, ugly reality of adult life. A classic Christmas tale this is not – but for Cracker, attaching any kind of “traditional value” to the holiday is a non-starter.

“To say that Christmas is about traditional values or values of any kind anymore is pretty ridiculous,” Cracker tells PinkNews. “Christ is nowhere featured in this. In America, if you look at the way people knock down the doors of shopping centres, I think you can tell that we have separated Christmas from Christ.”

Some people might disagree. Last month, for example, Full House actor Candace Cameron Bure sparked controversy after saying that any Christmas movie she makes in the future will “keep traditional marriage at the core”, rather than focus on telling LGBTQ+ stories.

Clearly, Cracker disagrees. “I think any opportunity that we have to kick down traditional family values is welcomed,” she says. “The way of thinking about family is old and tired and we need to reinvent it.

“I think that Who’s Holiday! does that. It makes fun of family and I think it talks about chosen family and talks about the friends that really matter and what it means to have them in your life. So yeah, f**k family.”

Miz Cracker’s show is running throughout December and into the New Year at London’s Southwark Playhouse. It’s a long time to be away from her home city, New York, but she really doesn’t mind.

“We have so many problems in the US politically – it’s nice to take a break to other people’s problems,” she laughs. “I’m not faced with political strife of my own every day. It’s other people’s political strife.”

Less than two years after the US gave Donald Trump the boot, the community is already having to prepare for his potential comeback in 2024, and the mountain of transphobic and misogynistic policies that might bring.

“I’m already worried right now,” Cracker says. “I think [it] would be terrifying. Not just because he would be president, which is one thing, but because it would show that there is support for hatred and phobia in our country.

This year was the worst on record for anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in the US, with hundreds of state bills proposed that would decimate trans healthcare and prevent trans youth from playing school sports.

Cracker doesn’t think it’s worth “trying to logic” where this rise is stemming from.

“What matters is not figuring out why it happened, but making sure that it gets crushed…because we’re talking about the lives of trans youth being crushed or not acknowledged by some of this legislation,” she says.

“We’re talking about, on the smallest level and on the national level, real persecution. So it doesn’t matter where it came from, it just has to be stopped.

“We can make it irrelevant that he’s running if we show up and vote. We have in the past, I know we can do it again.”

Cracker is acutely aware that it’s not just LGBTQ+ folk who have bore the brunt of dire Republican legislation, with the reversal of Roe v. Wade emboldening anti-abortion activists across the US.

“I am a feminist,” says Cracker, who uses her She’s A Woman podcast to celebrate the remarkable achievements of diverse women around the globe.

“I believe [in] having the opportunity to speak up about abortion rights, access to health care for women… It is going to be an element of my show that I’m writing to perform next year.

“I’m just going to write a show that has issues that I care about in it, buried in comedy so that people don’t fall asleep in their seats.”

Miz Cracker has long been one of Drag Race’s most politically engaged queens, having first got into drag with Bob The Drag Queen while protesting for marriage equality in New York.

Right now though, Cracker thinks that simply choosing to have a laugh is political.

“My comedy special Here I Stand was completely apolitical,” she says. “Literally all it was, is about giving hand jobs to Uber drivers. That was a personal show that was about my life but I don’t think it was less important because sometimes hearing someone’s personal story can really give you a laugh, help you acknowledge who you are, and help you recharge for what you need to do the next day.”

Giving people that moment of “laughter and togetherness” is exactly what she aims to do with Who’s Holiday! It’s campy Christmas filth, and a perfect antidote to worldwide political turmoil.

“Despite it being raunchy and despite it being ungodly, there is still a message there, that family and friends are the most important things that you can have on the holidays,” Cracker says.

“It’s not simply the story of a slag, if you will.”

Watch this. It's short, but it's important. The image above comes from the clip. We are propagandized constantly about the mind-expanding glories of Drag Queen shows for children. Is this something we should welcome?

What kind of society permits this, much less celebrates it? What kind of demented parents take their children to see such a spectacle? It is highly, highly sexualized. James Lindsay is right: we should stop calling them drag queens and instead call them what they are: Groomer Clowns. You cannot watch that short clip and continue to maintain the pretense that this is all innocent fun. These groomer clowns know exactly what they are doing. And we are letting them get away with it, because protecting children is less important that affirming everything that the all-holy LGBT community wants.

A sane society would ban this, and imprison the groomer clowns. There is deep spiritual darkness at work here. Can't you see it? Are you blind?

I can't separate stuff like that from the general sense of disgust and disaffection I have regarding our society and culture. When you reflect that virtually every major institution of American life has absorbed the value system that produces abominations like that ribald children's groomer-clown Christmas, how can you have faith anymore? I agree with this:

I've written here recently about how going to visit the ruins of early Christian churches and communities in Asia Minor, and reading about the world the early Christians were up against, sort of radicalized me. It made me realize in a clearer way than I had before that we really are Rome, we really are Babylon. True, this has been my main theme for years now, and now we are seeing it reach levels of depravity that, if someone had said a decade ago that these things would be happening, they would have been denounced as a hysterical alarmist, and probably a bigot. (I know; I was.) And now look.

You think it's going to stop here? Why should it? Where's the pushback coming from? Most people -- the ones who know better -- sit quietly, thinking it's a passing phase, or that it won't affect them.

Earlier this month, political scientist Kevin Stuart, writing in the Wall Street Journal, explained how a lewd groomer clown Christmas parade came to his small Texas town [archive link: https://archive.ph/o8ZR0 - OB]. Excerpts:

My wife and I moved to Taylor, about 35 miles northeast of Austin, to raise our three children in a community dedicated to protecting children and supporting families. Historically a farming and rail town, Taylor is about as far from the front lines of the culture war as it is possible to imagine. Last year an organization called Taylor Pride submitted an innocuous-sounding application to sponsor a parade float featuring “a rainbow Christmas tree” and “probably 10-15 adults.” The Taylor Area Ministerial Alliance granted approval immediately. Evidently no one at the church group—which “exists to unite the Christian ministers of the Taylor area in fellowship and to enrich the spiritual life of the community through united ministry and evangelistic outreach”—realized that Taylor Pride was the town’s “hub of the LGBTQ community.” The ministers naively thought a group calling itself Taylor Pride was simply proud to be from Taylor.

That’s life in a small town. But if the members of the parade committee were quaintly unfamiliar with the vernacular of modern identity politics, they for sure weren’t prepared for what happened next. Taylor Pride was planning something slightly more adult than a rainbow Christmas tree. Its parade float featured drag queens—men dressed as busty women in short skirts.

The Taylor Area Ministerial Alliance passed a rule to prevent something like this from happening again. So local LGBT activists appealed to City Hall, which created a second parade to follow the standard one. More from Stuart's piece:

Professional bureaucrats run small towns such as Taylor like ideological colonizers. They should behave more like hired hands doing the work the people have assigned them through democratic deliberation. Subject-matter experts have something to contribute to the running of modern towns and cities, but the preponderance of experts has created a marked democratic deficit. That deficit is now a grave threat to the vitality of American civic life.

Some fault lies with the residents of towns like Taylor. By ceding too much political power to officials they can’t trust, they’ve allowed a civic culture that doesn’t match their values to take hold. When they finally have to stand against the dictates of the experts, too many citizens these days discover that their self-governance muscles have atrophied. They are intimidated and cowed by unelected officials who tell them that they lack specialized knowledge, that progressive political change is inevitable, and that they can’t do anything about any of it.

Too many citizens these days discover that their self-governance muscles have atrophied. Yes. I don't believe that most Americans support Groomer Clown Christmas Pageants, or any of the rest of it. But they are too intimidated to fight it. So we are losing our children, and losing our country.

This is nothing more than psychological warfare, conducted by individuals that are not even remotely concerned with equality or egalitarianism. Their sole focus is destabilizing society and exploiting that disorder to assume a more dominant political position.

FL Investigating Drag Show: ‘Exposing Children to Sexually Explicit Activity Is a Crime in Florida’

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...ally-explicit-activity-is-a-crime-in-florida/

HANNAH BLEAU 27 Dec 2022

Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is investigating a sexually explicit drag show that took place in Fort Lauderdale on December 26 and welcomed children in the audience.

The drag show, “A Drag Queen Christmas,” appears to be the same show attended by the Democrat mayor of Knoxville in her city, which featured simulated sex acts and exposed fake breasts, as well as other explicit material and scenarios.

In a message to media partners, Bryan Griffin, press secretary for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), said the office is currently working on behalf of DBPR and added that the department will field follow-up questions as details become available.

According to the statement, DBPR was made aware of “multiple complaints about a sexually explicit performance marketed to children held in Fort Lauderdale on December 26th” and is “actively investigating.” The investigation includes “video footage and photographs from the event.”

“DPBR will, like in other cases, take action,” the statement reads, making it clear that “exposing children to sexually explicit activity is a crime in Florida, and such action violates the Department’s licensing standards for operating a business and holding a liquor license.

“The Department will share any collected evidence with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for potential criminal liability.”

The statement continued:

The Department frequently conducts investigations into these matters upon tips provided by the public, and we thank the public for continuing to bring attention to these incidents. Investigations of such allegations will remain a priority for the Department and, indeed, are ongoing.

As Breitbart News reported on the show’s national tour:

The show, which went on a national tour, featured sexual gestures, independent reporter Tayler Hansen explained. Hansen, who attended and reported on the show in Austin, Texas, captured video of the event.

In Hansen’s video, a drag queen can be seen talking to a nine-year-old and praising a mom for bringing her child before saying, “Hello! Are you reaching for my titties? Are you hungry?” The drag performer was wearing an extremely inappropriate costume that revealed fake breasts.

In another clip, two men dressed in revealing reindeer costumes simulate sex with each other. Hansen estimated that roughly 20 children were present at the event.
