I live in Manchester, NH, and as of 7:50 this morning, I have had 4 people knock on my door asking for RP signs and info! I wasn't home for much of the day, so there may have been more. I live on a street which has a heavy traffic volume at rush hours and lunch time, so the 2X4 blue RP sign in my 4' high snowbank is very obvious. And it's a main route to the voting ward for this part of town. :D

One of my neighbors (in her mid-70's) came over today and asked if I could "spare a Ron Paul sign" for her yard and a bumpersticker. She previously had a McCain sign in her yard, but it was plowed under after a snowstorm a couple weeks back. She didn't care enough to dig it out. She and I talked for 10 minutes about Dr. Paul's honest Townhall forum which aired on public TV here in town last night, and she said that Paul was the epitome of "her" Republican party! She told me that she and her recently deceased husband voted for McCain last time and that she wouldn't be fooled twice! Haa! I offered her a DVD and she accepted, and was quite stoked to get into the "online revolution" as she put it. Clearly, she's been following the internet buzz. Love her.

Also I've converted two Edwards campaigners to RP today (figured they were ripe since they saw the signs & bumperstickers but knocked on my door anyway) but they weren't registered to vote in NH.

Just wanted to give some local feedback on my own small experience- the SURGE, LOL!- since Ron Paul appeared on Manchester public access TV last night.

Thanks for the good news. Seems like there's a lot of negativity on the boards tonight.

How are we looking overall in Manchester? It's the biggest city in New Hampshire if I'm not mistaken so that city could play a large role in determining the winner.

I think the town hall thing was a great idea, because Dr. Paul is really trailing in the 65+ voter range. And I think the oldies are much more likely to watch public tv than the younger crowd. I'm sure he got a lot of votes last night with his strait talk!!

The surge is working :D

Thanks for the report from the frontlines brother.

I've had to double my regular dose of Prilosec in anticipation of the NH results.

awesome, what a smart 70 year old woman, if the rest of the seniors in this country had half the brains she has, then Ron Paul would win in a landslide nationwide.

I thought you could register at the polls in NH. I know that undeclared voters can pick either party's ballot.

Yes, it is the largest (population-wise) city in NH. Coordination within the Manchester Meetup group is key, as there is still a need for volunteers to cover all voting wards. I will be witnessing the vote count in my ward and making video and phoning the count in to HQ.

In case anyone is wondering, Manchester uses paper ballots/optical scanners. Voters use a black marker to fill in an oval (like the SAT's) on the ballot, and then the ballot is placed on the scanning machine and fed into the collection bin. Those actual paper ballots are what we want to witness being counted.

OH yeah- she told me that she was going to tell all her Bingo buddies about him tonight, LOL!

Awesome.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY VOTE TOMORROW!!!

You may want to go over and remind them if they are right next door. Anyways, thanks for your efforts!
