RPF's Official Delegate Count Thread

good work, keep it UPDATED!!! Too many threads go without updates and become irrelevant or useless.

Ron has two super delegates with the Iowa GOP chair, as I understand it.

Yea, one is the Iowa GOP Chair and one is from Oklahoma, but no one has been able to confirm which of the 3 superdelegates in Oklahoma it is (only the AP knows since they conducted the interviews).

Updated again.

Although the delegates from Guam and the northern marianas islands are technically unbound, they were confirmed by multiple sources to all be romney supporters, so I counted them for mitt.

I just did a count, unless you include 'apportioned by CD' as winner-take-all there really aren't many states that aren't proportional.
This is only related to the OP in that it's a pleasant surprise for me which is connected to delegates ;)

Yeah, thats one thing ive noticed when doing this. Florida is really one of the few true winner take all states weve had so far.

Even down the road, states like Texas and California are split by CD too

Yeah I think there were around six states that were actually winner take all (I may be a bit off there) but it's far less than I anticipated going into looking at this process.

EDIT: Found it
For general reference, remaining Winner Take All states.

April 3, 2012
District of Columbia (primary - Closed) 19 total delegates

April 24, 2012
Delaware (primary - Closed) 17 total delegates

May 8, 2012
North Carolina (primary - Modified) 55 total delegates

June 5, 2012
New Jersey (primary - Modified) 50 total delegates

Looks like I overshot by two :p

Added last nights contests.

Alabama is having some issues, so i'll be returning to it later on.

Unbound is still beating out 3/4 of the candidates

Im confused on how Nevada has awarded all their delegates. Why are they doing county conventions then getting delegates?

I think Nevada's delegates are bound. So the delegate fights you see over there are still important because in the case of a brokered convention, they become unbound and can do whatever they want.

Someone correct me if im wrong

This is correct (as far as I know) with the additional note that if we carry enough strength in the state convention we can unbind the delegates pre-RNC
;)
