RPF member Phill4Paul on relief trip in NC

Hell yes! Happy to know I helped in a very small way.

You, too, can enjoy that feeling by PMing AF and getting the Venmo! Rather than donating to the United Way or Red Cross, or some other agency that will use it to send their CEO on lavish trips with 5 course luxury meals, you can help real people help real people!!

I URGE YOU ALL TO PITCH IN! We may have an election to look forward to, but we can still do moneybombs to bring relief to our type of people!

THIS!

I am not sure if Phil is up to making another relief run next weekend, and it's looking like he'd have to go to FL this time, but I will talk to him some time today and see if he's making another trip.

In the meantime, the Capt. is right, stay far away from those "mainstream" leftist charities.

Samaritan's Purse is doing good work and is based in NC

A Trump sponsored "GoFundMe" started with a $1 million goal, it has already surpassed $6.5 million.

If anybody is interested I can suss out a few more local charities.

OK, Phil has told me he is going to make another run this coming weekend.

PM me for a Venmo name, address to mail a check to or any other info.

Thanks AF and CaptUSA.
Everybody is appreciated.
I intended this to be a one off. But, after seeing some of it myself. After talking to relief workers and seeing their pictures, yes there are still bodies 15-20 feet high in trees, I can't NOT go on another run.
I talked to the woman directing the drop center at Swannanoa.
She let me know what's needed now. Plenty of water. Storage sheds filled.
Food is still needed and will continue to be needed.
She said the urgent need is chainsaw logistics. Non ethanol gas, fuel mix, chain oil.
Also for the cutters hornet spray, benadryl and calamine lotion.
I've got 10 2 gal. gas cans, 10 6 oz. fuel mix and 10 1 gallon jugs of chain oil locked in.
On delivery I have 12 cans spectracide pro Hornet spray, 144 CT. Calagel box and 120ct benadryl box.
With filling with non ethanol fuel this will run me around $800.
With a cold front coming in She ask for jackets and blankets. There's two Goodwills within 5 miles either way where I'm staying. So I'll check them out on Wednesday after work.
For some reason I decided just to help.
After seeing what has been done by nature, and what is being done by "We the People" I know God has put it in my heart, and those that have helped me.
I can't NOT help until help is not needed.
And I am not the only one. Truck after truck and trailer accompanied me.
And when I was bare headed home I watched them all still heading west.
Fuck the FedGov. They hate you and want you dead.
Not on my watch.
Any contribution is welcome. It helps cover funds out of my pocket. And I ain't rich. Anything over will go for the next Saturday run.
This ain't a one and done affair.

Good on ya. It's truly comparable to a war zone there.
And up until this week when the Feds finally made their piddling presence made it's been Appalachian Hillbillies taking care of business. And they are the only ones with the help of "We the People" getting things done.
There's not time to take care of the dead. Lives are STILL being saved!

Yeah. A lot of the power trucks in N.C. are already headed south. It's a one two gut punch. Hopefully this cold front will push far enough south to dissipate it some.

My companies "procurement specialist" just knocked it out of the park.
Gas cans, fuel mix, fuel and chain oil he brought in at $370. Which they will just take from next weeks paycheck.
That leaves me with a good chunk of play for other items needed.
If you still want to help please Venmo.
Every bit of it will go towards somebody in need.

Right on!!! A little more on the way.

Don’t let us down, RPF! Any little bit helps. Encourage the others.

See, this is exactly the kind of dumb government shit that goes on when the people do not take charge of their own well being.

This is a legitimate effort being taken on by our own people right here, and going directly to those in need.

Chip in whatever you can.

I thought I heard or read that FEMA expects people to charge things by running
their vehicles.

Fuel for a chain saw may be scarce too, so a fully charged cordless would come in handy. And solar "generators" should come with the saws. But yes, gas powered are far preferable. Those cordless might last an hour on a charge I'd WAG.

My Venmo is
Phillip Ranke
To those that wish to help.

It's asking me for the last 4 of your phone number. You can PM me that if you wish. Anti Federalist, yeah there was a time we could raise $10,000 in 10 minutes. We're a long in the tooth movement at this point. It is what it is.

I'll ask him if it's ok to pass along.

I'll just add, many people will be without running water until after Christmas. That includes my business. We've been flushing the toilet in my office building with creek water. Powerelines are still laying across the road in some areas. That's what gets to me the most. Usually they are fixed immediately. Granted they aren't live wires and a lot of times the crews fix a line, but leave the wires to race to the next one. We have been blessed with good weather. There is still a cerfew in my county at night.

I had been unable to work until this week and I'm seeing an eighth of my normal patient visits and I slashed my prices across the board by half. Hopefully my wife will be able to work next week. Everyone is broke in this area. Grocery stores have trouble keeping things stocked even when people do have money. I'm not saying this for pity or hand outs. I will get by, but its going to be rough for a while, especially those who didn't prepare for disasters. I still have savings, food and supplies as well as a bunch of egg laying hens.

And yeah, most people are realizing that the goods being shipped here are from charities and goodhearted people, not the government. I got a bit savaged on Facebook when I mentioned this, mostly by democrats from out of state calling me a liar. I simply told them that I was on their side after Katrina for the way government spends tax money overseas rather than the people and infrastructure here, and that these same democrats would be on my side if Trump was spending billions on Ukraine and only millions here. Surprisingly they all shut up.

Trucks come in with supplies to random churches and businesses, and people just walking by jump in to help unload and then walk off with just a firm handshake and a smile. There is a comradery almong us mountain people. Strangers smile at each other as if to say, "I'm glad you made it." Everywhere you see stacks of bottled water. Sorry, Marxists, but American's are fricking awesome! I love my neighbors!

My wife is volunteering at a place that gives away supplies. Aside from packing in food and supplies for my daughters in the first week, I had been sitting on my ass. It's kind of weird. I was a volunteer firefighter for 6 years and I thought I would jump at the chance to get involved, but my instinct was to hole up and care for only family and friends. I did run into a group that backpacks supplies into areas that are still cut off. I'm going to start working with them tomorrow.

I haven't applied for that $750. I just can't go to the website. It's like getting a vampire to enter a church or trying too drag my saintly mother into an adult bookstore, but for the time I don't need nor want their money.

So again thanks to everyone!
