I spoke to my good friend and RPF member phill4paul tonight.

He told me he plans to load up $1000 worth of supplies and emergency rations, paid for with his own funds, that he is going to drive out to western NC this weekend and distribute right from the back of his truck on first come, as needed basis.

My daughter and I chipped in some more when we heard what he is doing.

I'm waiting on his permission for me to release his Venmo info in PMs, for anybody else who may be interested in helping out directly.

PM me for his Venmo name to chip in if you would like.

Regardless, it's a selfless effort on his part that deserves recognition.

I wish he would frequent here more often, but life has been keeping him busy.

Good work brother!

Had one reply so far.

Would be nice to match Phill's outlay of $1000.

See my post about FEMA roadblocking some private aid. Before I deliver this I would at least do some planning and damage control so you don't get F'd.
Attorney I know who is a big freedom advocate is tracking private aid getting confiscated, destroyed or turned away by authorities and the institutions on the ground....

I did a small donation at first - if he confirms he got it and can use, I'll follow up with more.

Member RJB is there too, but in a different situation. He could probably use a little too.

This is my first access to the Internet since last Thursday. I don't know if this post will get through with the shoddy connection. My family and I are safe but I have a minor SHTF story from experiencing Helene in the Southern Appalachians. I'll post it when I get better Internet. And yeah, it's the neighbors, truckers and the line men saving this area.

Thanks. I'm doing ok. I was prepared for most of this. I'm going to go into town later today where there is reliable wifi and give a report from the ground. It's been an interesting week. I've had to backpack supplies into my daughters' neighborhood where they are stranded.

AF, you can give me a phone call if you'd like.

Sent that all to him and thanks for the update.

Keep us posted and let us know if you need anything.

GunnyFreedom is out there on scene somewhere as well.

Damn shame...we used to be able to raise $1000 in ten minutes around here.

Good work on those who helped out!

Phil confirmed through text photos today that an overflowing truckload of supplies that he bought and we helped with, were delivered to a private aid station in Swannoa NC.

He states that the story of some FEMA agents getting roughed by locals after they tried to stop relief efforts seems to be true.

He says an army of "rednecks" loaded up his stuff and a bunch of other donated supplies into rental trucks and a secondary truck with a flatbed trailer with a whole fleet of side by side ATVs and headed out onto the rural roads and wash out rendezvous points to distribute directly to those in need.

His exact quote was "Fucking awesome!" and "Fuck government!".

I have pictures and will upload them as soon as I get a chance.

Heroic!

Hell yes! Happy to know I helped in a very small way.

You, too, can enjoy that feeling by PMing AF and getting the Venmo! Rather than donating to the United Way or Red Cross, or some other agency that will use it to send their CEO on lavish trips with 5 course luxury meals, you can help real people help real people!!

I URGE YOU ALL TO PITCH IN! We may have an election to look forward to, but we can still do moneybombs to bring relief to our type of people!
