RP taking off the gloves in email

I say Ron should stay positive, we can have C4L do a survey questionnaire thing about the bailouts and attack that way.

The "Paul is the only candidate who (consistenty) did ____" is a good way to attack the rest of the field without specifically attacking one candidate and seeming negative. And there are PLENTY of things to fill the blank with. :)

Great idea. Welcome to the forum!

To a certain extent I agree, especially via his online social sites. However, in debates and in interviews he needs to clearly establish himself as having predicted the economic problems and his anti-Tarp stance all the while the others were not saying anything or actually supporting things like tarp, obamacare, cap and trade, etc. Not that I want him outside of his comfort zone too much but at some point he needs to really push the alarm bell (preferably in a debate) with regards to the economy and wonder out loud if any candidate other than him understands what got us into this mess and where the hell were they in the build up to current events.. For instance, why has no other candidate called for reigning in the Fed or even mentioned it on the campaign trail unless asked about it. Somehow, these others need to be called for their platitude speeches and lip service stances and the only way to get the point across to gop primary voters is to call them out cause they sure won't stop the bs on their own.

My campaign's grassroots supporters are holding another Money Bomb next Sunday, June 5th, and I believe it offers us an excellent chance to make some headlines of our own....

...it is absolutely critical I have the financial backing to build a first-class operation in early caucus and primary states and show the pundits and press that I am a serious candidate....

An overwhelming showing on June 5th would force the establishment pundits to realize you and I are in this to win it!

So please, visit www.RonPaul2012.com on June 5th and contribute whatever you are able.

June 5th it is then. Let's make it one to remember.

About time he attacks. Needs to go negative on the others in Iowa.

Rand should do more of the attacking. He still gets in the news right? Maybe not as much as Ron does, but he can if he is more vocal. And that way he acts of sort of like a shield for Ron. The people that like Rand will probably conflate him with Ron. And the "attacks" that Rand voices can't be blamed on Ron by those who are annoyed by them.

Rand would be better at it, and more willing to do it than Ron would anyways.

I think that's the plan. Whenever I hear Rand talk about the 2012 election, he attacks them (for previously supporting mandates, cap and trade, things like that).

Oh, good. I don't follow news that much, so I hadn't seen that. I think I rely too much on indirectly hearing about things through the forum.

Can't see any weakness to that plan really. The Rand/Ron plan, not the relying too much on the forums plan, the latter is definitely a bad idea.

He did a brilliant job of it in NH last month. Someone asked him if he really thought Romneycare would be an issue in this campaign, and he said, "If I have anything to say about it, it will...."

And that was after he demanded to see Trump's long form Republican party registration....

Ain't gonna happen. I have heard this several times in several places on the forum. I have even wished it myself from time to time.

It ain't gonna happen.
That is not Ron Paul.
He will focus on Principles, and not one can touch him there.

That doesn't mean the grassroots can't go negative.

Nope, He doesn't encourage it. but he doesn't control either.

Outside the Campaign, grassroot supporters can do what they will.
We are a diverse group, many different tactics and plans can be running at the same time.
I would not discourage any. might even jump in on some.

but don't expect or get discouraged when Ron doesn't go "negative". it's just not his nature.

'he still gets in the news, right?'

If you missed Rand fighting the Patriot Act last week, you want to google that -- or just dip into his forum.
