The flyer I posted earlier with Ron Paul's face made up of a mosaic of supporters and 'We the people' in Constitution script is available too, shem even has a pdf of the flyer made for 2012 in New Hampshire although you will want to change the web links, there was no campaign site yet so RonPaul.com was put in, and I think Ron Paul Forums for the grass roots and Daily Paul is better than facebook, personally, but I really dislike facebook. But those with libertarian tendencies are precisely the people who DO dislike facebook privacy policies enough to avoid it.....

I really think the fans need to say "Ron Paul", not just "Ron", I don't know if you meant to put just "Ron" from what you said. 'Rand' is a much more unusual name, and in Kentucky there was NO doubting who was meant. In Iowa Ron has 70%+ name recognition but there are still lots of 'Ron's', and we want there to be no mistake :D

Good point. "I'm A Ron Paul Fan" it is Where did you guys get those made?

Bump for importance. I hope people who have the time sign up. This is very important

Thanks Trey.

Also would like to point out that Iowa makes a great summer vacation destination for any out of staters looking to spend their summer vacation helping dr Paul. Spend a week relaxing at an Iowa county fair! Country living at it's finest!

Definitely get voter registration forms from the local GOP office or county clerk or where ever. They can fill it out at the fair and then you can just hand a bunch in. Registered voters are more likely to vote:):)

Just mailed in the app for the Wapello County Fair. Bump for volunteers!

Yeah, voter registration forms are a great idea. I'll put that down on the list. Thanks

Verify what your states rules are. Here in MD, they can fill out and mail it in or You can turn them in. The thing is that you have to go through a 1 hour training and be certified to do this, or they will throw out any that you turn in. They even give you a card saying you are "official" when you finish training.

If you're running a town for the republicans in 12, voter registration during the day, phone banking at night is a good chunk of what you might be filling your day up with.

Boone

I sent in an application/registration fee for Boone, so hopefully that works out. I'll try contacting them again to make sure. But I'll plan on covering Boone on Thursday (7/14) and part of Friday (7/15) -- can anybody else help out with the rest of Friday, Saturday and Sunday? I bought some info/issue sheets from the campaign also, but I still need to find a banner. Any recommendations? I keep seeing advertisements for a free banner from Vista Print, so I'm considering that, but I haven't talked to the official campaign about it yet. What have others done?

Awesome! I just received the banner I ordered from ronpaulproducts.com Its a very nice looking 6'x3' white Ron Paul President 2012 banner and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The Boone fair looks like a great recruiting opportunity to me. 13,000 attendance and right next door to Ames. I'll make it an event in our Ames and Des Moines Ron Paul meetups and see if anyone volunteers that way.

I got the loan of a 10' x 10' tent today for use at the Wapello County Fair. Have posted all the meetups and looking for volunteers to help me staff it. We've just restarted the Fairfield Ron Paul Meetup and our 2 meetings so far have been small- so needing volunteers! I can offer accomodation to a single guy if anyone wants to come help me June 15-19, and especially June 18-19.

How do we know

which fairs are paid for and which ones to still apply for? (Boone is confirmed, btw)

Will the campaign help pay for registration fees? I didn't think to ask when I talked to one of them yesterday, who said that I could feel free to borrow a banner from them for the fairs, just to let them know first and I can stop in and get it (their office is right next to me). So that's good news! Any guidelines for sign-up sheets and/or straw poll info cards and/or Republican registration forms? Maybe I'll check with them on that too...

Thanks, These 55 are the folks that were in the meetup when we shut it down in 2009. I have most on email, and have been inviting them to rejoin by email. A few have, it's slow to get going this time. We're using Facebook as well and so contacting people 3 ways: email, meetup, and Facebook. Facebook is interesting in that people respond quickly to event invites. Eg this one I put up tonite: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=189512121097508 ... some new people have already responded. People are more reluctant to join things online where they need to spend a few minutes and give out personal info. So I will be using Facebook more this time. Thanks for the heads up on this list though> I definitely will be contacting them.
