I don't understand the point of having a counter opinion. News does not have to be balanced it has to be accurate.

My review,

Paul is comfortable with himself and the topic of the United States Economy. His theory is that the Fed takes our free market system away. He explains the bubbles and devaluation of the dollar in a simple very clear understandable way. The people given all the information, can make an informed decision. Ron Paul trusts the American people.

The debate format was excellent and the host was kind and respectful. I think no one disagrees that the fed is a small group of elite people controlling and telling us what the rates should be after discussing it behind closed doors.

My personal opinion, I think people don't understand what freedom is and are afraid of it. I think is it becoming more and more clear how controlled our markets are by the Federal Reserve to the point that no one stands up to them nor is willing to get rid of them to have a totally free market. We should back up our dollar with the gold standard, I don't see how this would be a bad thing.

Now with the Government's efforts to have these foreign soverign funds to buy into America, I feel as though we are all being bought and sold without being fully informed as to the consquences. Large sales of America Companies are at stake.

J.P. Morgan and the Rothschild's are combining for a "big" banking joint venture in CA. Now that is their rights to do business, but let's not forget, the American people paid for the bailout of Bearn Sterns for J.P. Morgan to buy at $2 a share, so remind me how do we benefit from that sale of Bearn Sterns and the J.P. Morgan Rothschild merger. And sorry I don't like the fact that the Rothschild's are hosting a fundraiser for John McCain in London. I think what the Federal Reserve did to the markets and the American people sucks!

But we have no choice because it is clear they are in control, not us. This does not seem like a free market to me.

Dr. Paul absolutely owned his opponent and articulated his criticisms of the Federal Reserve very well :D .
