Ron Paul's speech, with Michele Bachmann

last night, was great

I swear it was a week ago I looked and I thought, "Oh, good, I have plenty of time." Here it's come and gone. How on earth...? Did I go through a time portal. I'm really pissed at myself for not attending that.

Did I go through a time portal.

Michele Bachmann...friend to liberty. She is coming around beautifully.

Not exactly, after this townhall she released a statement saying that she believes in "the mission of our men and women fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan." (link)
Ron Paul decided to deliver a really hardcore libertarian message in this speech, he even brought up the drug war as a war on the taxpayer in the sense that the government wants to know on what you spend your money.
This speech could have a big impact, in part because the leftist clowns despise Michelle Bachmann, see:

I think Bachmann was shocked Dr. Paul started talking about the war on drugs and the wars overseas. She invited him to talk about monetary policy. Haha. Well, I'm glad Ron didn't tone down his message even in the presence of a neocon.

I don't think Bachmann is a neocon, I do think that she possibly bought into the warmongering for quite a while.

Since Paul's has an influence on her for a while now, I'll wait and see how she votes on things like the Patriot Act, the wars, etc., before I make a judgment.

SHe issued a statement after the speech clarifying that she still supports the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We'll see.
