He may have brought about the end of the two party system today. Take a moment and digest that thought.....

...ok, good work.

We've made a lot of progress this year, but seeing him sit next to Ralph Nader on CNN gave me goose bumps.

It's like this.... now the revolution just became a true big tent. Left, right.... love, revolution. It's all the same now.

The two parties were given a terminal illness today. It may take a while for them to die from it, but it is surely incurable.

This isn't anywhere near the end, but it's a start.

Let's hope that the supporters on both sides of the aisle keep things together. Frankly, I've seen more than enough to not be optimistic about that.

If Cynthia, Nader, Bob, and Chuck all do an independent debate, with all of the supporters raising as much hell to the MSM about it as possible, I think it could bring attention to it. The other option is of course buying time on a major network for the debate can calling it "The Alternative Presidential Debate" or something of that nature.

OR make some real noise, come together, and designate one member to represent all, and have a truly noticable party dedicated to individual rights, small government, and liberty...

That would exclude Nader and Cynthia because they don't recognize those things.

Nader supports the 4 principles of what Ron talked about today... those 4 principles are ALL we need to form a party... every one can leave their special interests at the door, as most special interests can fit right in the 4 principles...

NAder was huge on board, and I actually Loved seeing Nad4er and Paul on CNN today... Nader has a national draw... And I think Nader and Paul should work our a unity party base don the "4 principles of liberty"

With the right questions, the subject matter covered and the various perspectives that came together would make for (internet)television history.

No doubt about that.

Maybe Ron Paul and/or Bill Moyers moderating.

(won't happen)

I could not have said this better! I am excited about this, too! If this results in just 3 or 4% of the people who would have voted for Obama or McCain to go third party it will be HUGE. With bigger things to come.

I agree

What they need to do is combine all resources with the 4 point platforum they brought out on CNN.

And run a single ticket on those 4 issues alone. Merge all those parties into a new party that would have a fighting chance call it "The American Party"

This would take away all the vote splitting and create a new third party that could actually compete.

Man, I am so happy that Ron Paul is learning to PRIORITIZE. This is not the "annoying little fly whining about the Gold Standard." This is a real leader of a bold new movement that is becoming bigger than Ron Paul, or even "Ron Paul people."

He brought this whole thing together, and he found the FOUR MAIN ISSUES that really make the biggest difference in our lives, and got those three people to agree.

There is such a thing as CRITICAL MASS when it comes to these things...

Awesome.

Which leads me to say, "Bob Barr, you suck." What a selfish bastard. He truly is playing to be spoiler, rather than wanting change to actually happen. If he wanted to change things, he'd be doing what Ron is doing.

I don't post often, in fact hardly ever. (though a constant reader) I have some thoughts that I wanted to covey among those that have my utmost respect. When Dr. Paul stated he had an announcement everyone(!) began speculation on what that would be. That's fine. But what happened is everyone stated THEIR "perfect" statement. Wow. What a lot for anyone, even Dr. Paul to live up to. (OMG, I have CNN on and someone just compared Palin to R. Reagan - Lord help us all!) Anyways, I just wanted to say that I love Ron Paul for being the truly honest man that we have fallin' in love with. His honesty and integrity continue. I have considered my options. (OMG - Biden just said Palin is "first rate" on CNN- what the hell is that about?) I am looking at voting for Baldwin this election. I live in Arkansas. I will be paying attention up to the election however. Ron Paul is "a good man". Think about that. All of us can categorize what that means, but how many people do you personally know that even possibly live up to such? I am just sick that I even can't get my sister to understand small govt., non-intervention, and personal freedom. She thinks blowing up Iraq & Iran would solve things! I have found either people "get it" or they don't. Period. So, I have learned that it is not so much about convincing people, rather it is about exposing them to the truth - it will either sink in or be lost. So that is our job. Force feeding doesn't work - but rather educating, enlightening, & simplifying what media makes complicated. In their heart people KNOW what's right. The problem is that we are lazy. We want to be spoon fed and not make any decisions. But once people learn, once they connect, it's remarkable....
