Ron Paul's fundraising............................

Maybe because we're all broke? :(

The other question is whether ANY of the candidates from '08 who are (or were) running again this year are hitting the same sort of donation levels they did four years ago. I remember reading somewhere that Obama wasn't bringing in the sort of cash he was in '08 either.
 
Ron got most of his at the end of the campaign last time. People donated earlier this time. OVERALL it hasn't dropped, but it has been spent, as we wanted it to be, so he needs more to do any of the things people on here keep saying he should do. Please take time to tweet or spread word about the money bomb on March 23 if you can't donate at the moment!
 
Yep, is definitely the economy. The number of votes for him seems to indicate that his level of support has improved by at least double since then. Of course, the underlying intention of the article is to discredit him.

We drudged the hell out of the stories about 5 Romney family members in Idaho endorsing Paul and the recent CNN Money, Bloomberg, USA Today articles about a study showing Paul the only one with a plan to cut the deficit (big stories!!). We also drudge bombed the story of the Gingrich bodyguard who broke a Paul supporter's foot. Drudge never ran any of them. There's many other examples.

It's already been posted that Matt Drudge is associated with one of Romney's Campaign advisors or PR people.....I'm not just whining like Santorum here. The writing is pretty much on the wall.

Thank you! Ever since I read that article, I've been watching Drudge like a hawk. I don't even recall Ron Paul being a front and center main headline since BEFORE the Iowa Caucus.

Where were these HEADLINES when it comes to Maine, Missouri, Washington, etc?

and . . . I think it may be because his money comes from the people and not corporations.

Im more concerned about seeing Fred Karger beat Paul in Puerto Rico... it's very embarrassing.
 
The facts speak for themselves...fundraising has dropped. The money bombs stopped after NH...and again, like in 2008, because the campaign seemed to have stopped so did the money...it's a chicken and an egg. IF Ron stops campaigning the money stops, if the money stops, Ron stops campaigning...solution Ron should start campaigning again even if it is more frugally. You don't need tons of money to campaign, Santorum did it in Iowa. Get Ron to the state of LA NOW and stay there until after voting stops...then maybe people will start giving money again. I've heard anything from the campaign recently, the fundraising emails stopped, no press releases, where is Ron's next event. Romney and Santorum are in IL now holding rallies...

As far as everyone else, coverage on Ron is over...no one talks about him. The delegate process is being hi-jacked, people are getting arrested...is Ron just going to give up?

I'm not going to donate to the Mitt Romney campaign. Paul needs to disavow Benton and stop trying to play the VP game if he wants any more support from me.
 
Super Tuesday was the last formal fundraising push I remember from the campaign. I think the effects of the vote outcomes is hurting the fundraising but many people are now just focusing on the delegate strategy and there's not much the campaign can do to help that along. It'll be all of us paying the fees and travel expenses and all that comes with working toward being a delegate. I just think people aren't relying on the campaign for much right now and therefore aren't donating to it either.

Obama's donations are significantly less than last cycle as well (I've heard the same is true of Romney but I haven't been able to cross confirm that one)

I want to make sure Paul is still funded for sure, but it's important to maintain context, Paul was right the econ is tanking.

Yeah, but it is such a small number of votes and Ron didn't even do a single radio show or phone call there. For all we know Karger did direct mail or something. Regardless it is a tiny number of people, and since we weren't there, they might have pulled a St Charles or Athens GA to somehow disqualify our votes for all we know.
