Ron Paul's Debate Day Money Bomb - May 5, 2011 - DebateDay.com

Okay hold on a sec I need to ask a question.

There's a moneybomb for May 5th and there's a link for it right?

Okay now I found a website http://www.runronpaul.com/ and it's a moneybomb for when Ron Paul sets up the official 2012 presidential election website if he decides to run. (I hope I hope I hope hope hope hope!)

Is the RunRonPaulRun website an official moneybomb by its self and seperate from the May 5th moneybomb or is it a detour/back door that leads to the official debate day money bomb?

The debateday.com site has a broken link: it says to donate on ronpaul2012.com, but if you click on it, all you get is a login screen.

A pledge counter and a suggested donation would be good to add, but the most important thing is telling people where to actually donate.

Since it's on 5/5 (Cinco de Mayo, are you kidding me?), how about $55? I guess you could pledge $5 if you're broke -- that way everyone could participate, or $555 if you're having a good year, what with the silver rally and all.....

Couple rookie questions here if ya'll don't mind. First of all, one may only donate on May 5th, correct?

Also, what is a "common" or even "reasonable" (for lack of better words...) amount for someone to donate? I was thinking I could part ways with $200 and not be affected too badly when the bills come up, but at the same time I might be a little behind depending on when I get my paycheck (shutdown).

Actually, I would say that a common amount is $100. Those who can donate more may donate more (say a few hundred or even $2300). Those who cannot afford $100 may only donate $20 or $50.

Oh, and you can donate on other days or on May 5. But only the donations on the 5th will count towards the total of the money bomb.

The RonPaul2012.com site was handed over to the campaign yesterday. There is currently a login screen that appears when you go to the website, but that is only because it is still be constructed by the campaign, or they are waiting until Ron's official announcement in a few hours.

I'm wondering if anyone is planning on doing any paid advertising on Facebook for the money bomb. It seems like this might inform those that might fall through the cracks.

Thanks nayjevin, but I was thinking for people who are tea partiers or have something about Ron Paul in their profile. Not completely sold out converts. Just people who might donate, but aren't plugged in to the most obvious fanpages.

I know that I became the most excited about Paul after I made my first donation... prior to that I was just going to vote for him.

@Daamien: Man you're not just adding money you're adding patriotic TNT to this bomb!

The highest I can possibly go is for $500 but that'll be saved for the final money bomb.

Saw this in a post/email by Ron Paul:

The Grassroots have been organizing a Money Bomb on the day of the debate, and its success is crucial to my final decision. Our team will have a counter up at our new website, www.RonPaul2012.com, for all the world to see.
