Ron Paul's Coming to the University of Houston, Friday April 27th!

ron paul houston

is what I put into the search. I will branch out now though, because there isn't enough.

pic of Houston rally from Twitter; another post said 3,000 showed up.

I had just RT'ed one that you RT'ed from that person :)

edit: now I'll probably get suspended again...

So I decided to go and it was worth it. I shook hands with Glenn Addison while waiting outside which was cool (wow the line was long).

The stadium seats ~8,000 and almost half of it was full. I can see the 3,000 estimate if they subtracted UoH students for some reason, but 4,000 makes more sense from the seating volume.

4,000 is very good!!! Congratulations Houston!!!

But watch out for UC Davis in California next week on the Campus Quad.....10,000 is my prediction!!!!

just got home! yeah i'd say 3-4,000. it was half full so i'd say more on the 4,000 side. crowd was pumped in the line outside before they opened the doors. everyone gave carol a standing ovation when she walked in with some fam.

i was sitting next to some guy who was undecided. he had questions about foreign policy and his economic policy. he seemed receptive to ron's policies. hopefully i got through to him.

:) 2:09 you can see me in that video. hahaha

It was so great hearing him speak again! And it was great being with so many like-minded people. And the crowd really has gotten much more diverse. I was sitting in between some students and some old people. But all races, all ages, a lot of Ron's family was there. It was such an amazing night.

I think I have to agree with those saying that if this stadium seats 8500, and this much was full, it was more like 4000 than 3000, but I can't say I'm an expert at estimating crowds.

Pretty fair abclocal report. I liked that they let the guy speak his mind of the Main Stream Media in the video.

I really hope if Tom Abrahams really wants to understand why Ron Paul doesn't give up he could come to understand that Ron Paul isn't doing this for Ron Paul, he is standing his ground for his fellow American's.

Tom,

It's for you.

I've got season tickets for UH basketball (lack of attendance is an issue with them) so I've become a pro at estimating attendance over the years here. My "professional" estimation is about 3,800-4,000. It seats 8,500 and they had half of it closed off. There were a few empty rows in the wing sections so right at about 4,000 is right.

Thanks. Was the newscaster's statement that there were more people than there usually are on a Friday night in April a crack at the attendance?

He was probably trying to make a crack at the attendance, but basketball season is over in March so maybe he wasn't. Perhaps he was just saying that Ron Paul drew a hell of a lot of people on a Friday night.

It would probably take 4-5 basketball games to get that many people there total. I haven't seen that many people in Hofheinz Pavilion in a few years.

I was thinking the same thing, that it was late for basketball. I wasn't sure what he meant. But it is nice to know Ron pulls more than their team.
