There's truth in that, but it's a political fact that Ron has very little sway in the congress. In his position as Governor he'd have an opportunity to both resist many of the Fed's advances and to serve as an example of how a state may be run to prosper. Here's the catch though, no one man can truly affect the government whether state or federal. Not even the Governor. He'd need a legislature with which he could work.Ron needs to stay right where he's at.
If he were governor, he'd have virtually no voice in American national and foreign policy issues.
All federal tax and spending bills originate in the U.S House of Representatives. If we're going to save this country, we have to regain control of taxes and spending.
If Ron were a U.S. Senator, he'd have less influence regarding taxes and spending.
Ron should stay in the U.S. House until he either dies or becomes too old to carry on.
the texas GOP is among the most curropt. They know they can run most any peice of shit liberal with a R next to their name and they will win. Hence, rick perry, john cornyn, kay bailey hutchison ETC.
The state senate and house are pretty good though. Texas is the example in America of what state govt should look like.
But then idoits like Perry get elected as Gov and our Senators go screw things up for us.
I voted against Cornyn. My congressman Carter voted against the bailout.
Larry Kilgore got 27% of the vote in the Republican primary against Gov Perry. His official stance was to leave the union. It was big on the front page of his website.
