I think this schizophrenic article needs some level-headed comments.

Title: Ron Paul wins yet another straw poll. So why are the media ignoring him?

Article
: Supporters say the mainstream media are ignoring him, but such polls are not scientific and they can favor an enthusiastic following like Paul's.

Article: Paul supporters continue to claim media bias against their man.

“If the advocates of Ron Paul often seem like they're paranoid about the way he's overlooked in the mainstream media, there's good reason for it,” columnist Paul Mulshine writes in the Star Ledger in New Jersey.

As evidence, he points to a Sunday New York Times Magazine piece by political analyst Nate Silver headlined “What Are the Chances for Republicans?” Silver’s piece virtually ignores Ron Paul.

“The candidate who has been running third in many polls is conspicuously absent from the article,” writes Mulshine, who also notes that in the Real Clear Politics polling average only Romney does better than Paul in mock head-to-head elections against Barack Obama.

I think it time for a change in tactics. We put out the 'Ron is being ignored meme." Now we need to start acknowledging positive coverage in our comments.

Straw Polls are irrelevant.

Not when Herman Cain wins. That's our point. I don't care for Straw Polls, and if Cain wouldn't be pushed like crazy if he wins them, I wouldn't want any resources wasted on them, because yes, they are irrelevant, we just call out the media on their inconsistencies and deny Cain the headlines.

Pretty sure the average voter has no clue who wins any of these straw polls. They are irrelevant in the sense that they show electability. What they do show is organization and support of active voters.

They know who wins these things when Cain wins them. See the Florida Straw Poll for an example.

This article incorrectly states that Ron Paul has gone down in the ABC/WaPo poll since October. He's remained at 9 percent.

And like Michele Bachmann, he’s dropped several percentage points since October, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll.

This is just flat out wrong, and bad reporting. The author of the article needs to notified of this ASAP and fix it.

Why is it so hard to get the facts right when it comes to Ron Paul?

Most people I know don't even know what a straw poll is. We tend to forget that we're all activists. The other 99.999% couldn't care less.

If you want to ignore straw poll then ignore ALL OF THEM! If you're not going to invite RP on TV after a straw poll win, then don't do so for Cain or Bachmann.

It's obvious that MSM coverage is driving poll numbers and support with a party rank and file which is old and relies a lot on TV and newspapers

A little consistency here would be nice.

The Illinois poll wasn't ignored. It got over 200 articles written and was mention on Fox with no disparaging remarks about irrelevancy.
