I know. Its frustrating, its saddening... our opposition are not trained as critical thinkers, as rational thinkers - they're deeply irrational and the difference in ideology boils down to that. You cannot reason with someone who's unreasonable, who's beliefs are dogmatic, or acquired second-hand through everyone else around them.

I see more support for reason in politics now than I have in the past, but its also made me even more keenly aware of the uphill battle we face. I know I won't see the end of it in my lifetime, and I'm only 25.
