Ron Paul Upsets Santorum In Missouri Caucuses Buoyed By Huge Youth Turnout

Just wait for the St. Charles Coutny re-match. There are surprises coming that I wish I could share, but you'll find out eventually =)

Good luck! Hope you are prepared for about a 1000 of these people. Don't let them kick our ass!

We've got to get young folks involved in the process (although, I predict the GOP will drastically change their rules regarding delegates after this election). I think young folks just don't know where to start. They want to support Ron Paul but they don't know *how* to support him.

I'm 25 and politics is new to me. It takes a lot for someone who knows nothing about the process to jump right in and try to become a delegate (not to just vote but to take it a step further). It takes courage and confidence, and I have a lot of respect for these young folks who dogpiled on the Missouri caucuses. This thread is the best news I've had for weeks.

Winning isn't everything, or even the only thing, but on days like this it's one of the best things! Congrats to all in Missouri who worked hard on this. The result is the product of hard, tenacious commitment by Paul supporters to show up and get those delegate spots, and ironically the media blackout of Paul.

The concentration of their coverage of the race to "well, when will Mitt Romney wrap it up?" has the effect of de-energizing the rest of the non-Paulite Republican electorate, causing them to not have the follow-through to pursue vying to become delegates. We win by using the media's own blackout to swipe the biggest piece of the delegate pies!

good to see this,
when the national delegations are selected, then we would know the real results. and i feel Dr.Paul might at least be third then, if not second.

Don't be deterred that this news isn't all over CNN and Politico, it's all over Ron Paul nation and that's all that matters. The joke will ultimately be on these dolts who didn't report on it, another win for us.

then they will say we were being 'stealthy' about it, to excuse their not reporting on what Ron said he was going to do since before Iowa.

Just and FYI the St Louis City caucus sends delegates to both the 1st and 3rd CD conventions. In 2008 we won 24 delegates to the CD3 convention but lost (by a single vote) the delegates to CD1. Looks like we did quite a bit better this year. Congratulations guys!

Yeah, that is why you can't be too confident based on results at a lower level, depend on how they are grouped at the next level, you may overwhelmingly win one later level event and lose everything in two others. There are bottlenecks every step of the way, and every step of the way the deck is stacked against us. The only way to win is to overwhelm them with numbers.

So far several states are looking really good, but I don't want to get too confident of them.

Why do some of you care what the GOP thinks of us? I don't understand that concern. This is a revolution but we didn't start the cause, they pushed it their agenda on us first. The establishment also pushed the two party system, shutting out any other comers, so we had no choice but to use it and we do. Paul is the first one to say that. I could care less if some pompous elitist party representative is hurt because his game is being played better then him.

We're all pissed how we've been taken advantage of by the establishment, bankers, corporatists etc. There is nothing wrong with taking back what we rightfully own which is our lives, identities, and selves.

I don't think anyone cares what they think, unless they are challenging one of our supporters' status as a delegate.

I see concerns stewn about in various threads and at various times and it's a very odd emotional misplacement. Almost subordinate. If you've made it this far, to this place and engaged, then you should be well past the guilt of overcoming your opponents :D

We had a great Youth turnout for our caucus -- Even had three of my punk ass friends get up and go. Not because they gave a shit about Ron Paul or the state of America but because: It meant a lot to me, I asked them too, and they are good friends.
That is the way it's done, everyone. That is the way it's done.
