Ron Paul ToolBar

Why don't I see a detailed FAQ at 'ronpaultoobar/about' ancticipating these questions?

darbsllim, your time would be better spent updating the site than making posts here.

Copy

www.raady.com has had a toolbar for a few days now. They also have a start page that they use to generate funds for local grassroots campaign.

Pasting that code puts up a banner that links to your name so you get credit for referring people - it only works on html enabled forums, blogs or websites - the correct code for this forum would be to put
Where do you paste it so it shows on your posts?

The raddy toolbar is a good example of an UNISGNED toolbar.

When you go to download it, it says in red "Unsigned" - wheras when you go to download ours, it lets you know that it's safe.

Also - nowhere on the raddy site does it say they are going to donate money to Ron Paul efforts... and as far as I know they really can't because Google does not allow incentivized searches, whereas our contract with Yahoo does.

If I were you I'd stick with ronpaultoolbar.com

Regarding a FAQ - I thought we answered most questions on the website - which questions should I put in the FAQ if I make one?

Where do you paste it so it shows on your posts?

as far as I know, the IMG tag is turned off on this forum - so you'll have to manually paste it on all of your messages if you want the image to come up on your posts.

Going pretty well so far! So far we've got about 400 toolbar downloads.

Lets keep up the momentum guys!

Grassroots needs to stop using obscure internet methods. if a nerd doesn't already support Paul its too late. Paul needs to be advertised on mainstream ways, like Facebook, music, celebs, etc.

I don't really use a tool bar much, My FireFox only has what I use.
I did try it though ( a good thing for those that like them).
I use linux and the IM and radio did not integrate with my system. I could probably hack it but have other things to keep me busy right now.
Maybe after the 15th.

pcosmar - well - whether or not the toolbar is compatible with your system, the main thing is that any searches done through the Ron Paul toolbar go to benefit Ron Paul grassroots campaigns!

If you used the yahoo search box on the Yahoo toolbar for your monthly searches, you could contribute a lot of money to the effort!

I and everyone else would appreciate if you spread the word on the toolbar, the more people using this toolbar for free searches, the more we can donate!

It's not insignificant either.

If we had 100,000 people doing 1 search a day, we could donate up to $300,000 per month.

Imagine if we had 1 million users doing 1 search a day...that could be up to $3,000,000 per month all for FREE.

ARGH. I hate this toolbar and can't get it off my computer! No response from the makers yet, it keeps putting ghost images over my browser and slowing things down.

I'd love to use it to help the campaign out, but this is driving me batty!

Same. I wanted to help out, but it halved the speed of my browser.

Sorry to hear you're having problems.

What do you mean it's putting ghost images over your browser and slowing things down?

What operating system are you running and what browser are you using the toolbar on?

Have you downloaded any other toolbars besides the Ron Paul Toolbar?

Thats very odd - so yongrel you are also experiencing 'ghost images' and slowness with the toolbar?

I've never heard those complaints before, and there are literally hundreds of thousands of downloads of this toolbar template.

What browser are you using and what operating system?

I'm using Windows XP and running Mozilla Firefox as my browser. I have several toolbars, the usual Navigation and Bookmarks toolbar, those are the ones I have showing right now (aside from the RP one), I have Yahoo, StumbleUpon and LiveTV available, but I rarely use them.

The Ron Paul one doesn't even show up on the "View" options.

What I mean by "ghost images" is that when you click on "messages" the shadow of the image stays on my screen and blinks a lot when you scroll down. Wish I could describe it better.

I don't like that I don't have the option to have it show or not show when I want, I also don't like that I can't delete it if I want because I can't find it. That little drop-down mailbox thing totally screws up my system.

I caught a screen image, you can see where the square drop-down mail thing is dropped down--I didn't click on it. And when I'm using Firefox, the outline of this box stays there.

It also seems to spontaneously drop down when I click from tab to tab. Annoying when I'm trying to read something.

Heh, when I clicked to add the image, the mailbox dropped down. Funny stuff.

If the message system is whats giving you grief, please keep the toolbar installed and use the yahoo search to benefit the grassroots - but get rid of the messager.

click on the 'hope for america' image and click on Layout Manager.

Then remove the "Message" component.

You shouldn't have any more problems after that!
