So many came to hear Dr Paul, standing ovation. Liberty is popular! Carol was there too!

{@daniel_dudley} "How many of you believe in your government? Put up you hands" asks @RonPaul - @oberlin doesn't do anything

At last, I finally got to hear him speak in person! I think there was seating for 1,200 people, and the place looked packed to the gills. I got there early, so I was only in the third row, about 20-25 feet from Dr. Paul. The guy next to me was from Indiana and the people in front of me were from Cleveland.

He gave a great speech as usual, about the importance of liberty; nothing those of us who have listened to many of his speeches haven't heard before. If Ron Paul is nothing else, he is consistent, but of course he is so much more. After the speech, he took questions from the audience, and after that he exited the stage opposite me, and I didn't see him again, so I wasn't able to speak to him, unfortunately, but with so many people there I always feel like I'm an imposition to ask any special favors like that; I'm sure public speaking is a taxing enough without the photos, autographs, and handshaking. I did feel sorry for the little girl who had a question for him about education but didn't make the cut-off that the M.C. set. I'm sure Dr. Paul would've wanted to answer her question had he known about her.

This was taken before he started speaking; people were still coming in, until pretty much the whole place was packed:

Thank you, Tod! I'm sure he'd have wanted to answer it as well. Someone tweeted from the homeschool convention yesterday that the best question was from a little girl who wanted to give him her M&Ms....

I'm so glad you got to hear him! And at least you got Q&A, where he shines. I saw him at UCLA and am glad I did, but there were too many people, it was a stadium, so there wasn't any question and answer period.

Good for you for getting the ticket when they were all gone, and driving up there!

Too bad Mandel couldn't win the Senate race. I actually absentee voted before I really heard anything about him and voted for Scott Rupert, but Mandel talked about needing to cut defense spending..should have voted for him. Hopefully he wins reelection as our treasurer in 14.

I shouted "we love you @RonPaul" and he turned and said "THANK YOU!" that was life changing...

I am still psyched, my buddy and I waited by the front door and snagged 2 tickets.

The campus and venue were perfect. Everyone we talked to was super friendly. Ron was amazing.

My only wish was that the question period could've been longer. The students had some excellent ones (unions, environmental regs, etc.) that needed more time for consideration/back and forth dialogue. But overall Ron did a terrific job of very clearly communicating his ideals.

Such a great night in Northeast Ohio!

The only trouble with Q&A is that oftentimes the question involves a large subject that, in order to properly answer, requires far more time than is available. You could easily spend a whole evening just discussing one of those topics. Consequently, when you only have time for a few sentences in answer, I expect that the result can be dissatisfying for some people.

I was sitting right next to the questioner who asked what Dr. Paul took as a question about "anarcho-capitalism" and I am certain the guy actually asked about "narco-capitalism". I noticed that Ron had a lot of difficulty hearing the questioners (many of whom rushed through long questions in less than "radio-voice" tones) so I wonder if it wouldn't be better if questions were submitted in writing before the speech. The best questions could be selected. That would solve the communication issue and allow Ron a little time to better formulate an answer.

Still, it was a great night, one I shall always cherish!

Great points and ideas!

I too will always remember. I was worried I'd never get the chance to see him in person. So glad.
