Ron Paul talks with Geraldo about Rand's stand, McCain/Graham, and Bradley Manning

Geraldo is running for office, but I like hearing Ron.

That's the first time I've heard him say Manning was tortured. I expect he spoke to Kucinich whom I believe went to see Manning.

I know Ron feels there are consequences to civil disobedience you have to take into account, Manning isn't as clean a case as Assange that way.

It's just a rumor that he's running for Senate. I hope he does run and I hope he wins. He's a good dude.

It's not like his Democratic opponent would be any better (Cory Booker). I'll take Geraldo on civil liberties and maybe fiscal policy for sure.

Why? I've seen some pretty off the wall stuff from him over the years. Frankly, until this run of his I literally thought he WAS a democrat

Yeah, Geraldo is far from perfect, but he's good on a few Civil Liberty issues and I don't think he'd back down on them. He's like a more blustery Ron Wyden (the sole democratic who helped Rand in the fillibuster)- statist mainstream Dem at his core but with a Civil Liberty streak that would make him useful to us on occasion. You an't expect anything better than that to come out of New Jersey. That state is already beyond the tipping point.
