Ron Paul supporters lambasted for ruining the country

The guy makes one good point

He's right, paulbots are constantly cheering the financial collapse. I do not understand this whatsoever. It's like getting punched in the face and saying "thank you sir, may I have another."

Why not cheer for the fall of an extremely corrupt system.

The system they want to keep going is the one where all the wealth is redistributed into the hands of the ruling class (political and corporate, basically the same thing, fascism in a very real way).

It will be hard at first but the system we have has turned a once proud principled country into a social wasteland of hand outs and entitlement attitudes. We barely crank out any doctors or scientists any more, but millions of new drug addicts and welfare for lifers.

Where we are going sucks the sooner it ends the better. I just hope something better and not worse comes from the ashes.

Most of america is to poor to even be involved in the stock market ect.
Out lives already suck and our real pay has been decreasing every year for awhile now. Even keeping on as is a lot of the working low class are going to go under, and middle class are going to continue falling into the low class bracket.

The only thing being liquidated are the 401k's and life savings of hard working members of the middle and upper class.

What did they expect? They gave their hard earned money to some hucksters they didn't know to invest heavily in companies (not to even mention all sorts of financial scams) they'd never even visited.

I don't know that it is so much that people are happy about it, as it is their refusal to cry over the failure of others to invest wisely in their communities.

Guilty.
Today I saw a picture on Yahoo! of a stock trader slumped over a desk in obvious agony. I chuckled. The collapse will hurt the worthless* that caused the mess much more than it will hurt those of us that make an honest living producing products that people need to live. Some people are suffering that don't deserve it, that's true, but for those that have dishonestly amassed millions which they are now losing, payback is a bitch.

If someone breaks his hand because he repeatedly punched you in the face, you laugh at him and you don't feel the least bit of shame for it.

well said.

"First of all it is your logic that lost us the election. I am absolutely positive it is people like you who either did not vote in protest or voted for someone who had no chance in protest or worse yet voted democrat in protest. I am a Reagan/Goldwater conservative and have been one more than likely longer than you have been voting. Reagan nor Barry Goldwater never never ever advocated many of your positions. Those men were constitutionalist in every facet of their political lives. The conservative philosophy is one of being a centrist Not a fringe left or right advocate. It is however based on the Constitution , Faith in our Lord and Faith in the people of America. Further more you were wrong on most everything you stated about Rush and his beliefs. Take time to read the writings of the founders and Barry Goldwater and get back to me . While your at it you might want to read a generous helping of Buckley as well. Rush is a great friend of America and the Constitution . The idea that we have imperialist policies is absurd. That is the same tired claptrap that libs and moderates have been shouting for years. A strong defence is not Nation building it is national security."

Here is another good one:

I think I hold my own.

It reminds me of the warmongers blaming the peaceniks for Vietnam.

The peaceniks didn’t want the war. They didn’t start it and they didn’t support it. Yet they got blamed for losing it.

Yes, Ron Paul supporters are all causing it

Goddamn, Obama supporters are freaking delusional. It's funny, we don't know about the way government and economics work, yet most of saw this coming from a mile away. Ron Paul was the only one talking about this while the rest of the presidential candidates were still talking up the economy, nevermind trying to deny there was anything wrong with in the first place. And now they're sad to see their messiah failing to cause euphoria in the markets (and I predict he won't do much for the economy, other than drag it down). So far the markets has given him a huge thumbs down. Down almost 2,000 (the DIJA) after a month of his presidency? ROFL, at this rate, we'll go negative in no time.

I admit it. I ruined this country. <raises hand>
I am indeed a very powerful individual, don't upset me or I will drop the DOW to -2000 and cause your wife to leave you.

All the things that caused this are just being propped up with government created money

Yet day after day I see people on this board cheering for this.

I have yet to see anyone cheering for the fact that government money is being used to prop up a faulty economy.

It's not that. It's just that many of us understand the principle of Creative Destruction. The bad elements of the economy must be liquidated in order to redirect capital to healthy, productive elements of the economy.

If you're living in a house of cards, it's better to let it fall and then build up something better and longer-lasting.

That didn't really work so well when the sun finally set on the British Empire though.

As miserable as it is these day, it will probably be much worse on the other side. The government is not going to give up power, and they are not going to return us our freedoms.

Can you send her this way? We could use a maid.

Actually, it's the neocons and McCainiacs that are pissing and moaning about us at the moment, not the Obama supporters (at least as far as this thread goes). Most of the Obama supporters still haven't even figured out that it's a bad thing he's President...

LOL great job ruining the country guys!! Being the powers that be is the SHIT. I love it when we ruin this fuck's life by crashing the economy!!! You each win an internet!!

Seriously though, where is this little bitch hiding?

We lost the primary but won the power. We're just good, I guess.

Either that, or someone believes that when in doubt, you should shoot the messenger.

Does this remind you of the woman who was dying to have a Mercedes Benz but couldn't afford one? She found an ancient diesel model that was falling apart and asked a friend who knew about cars to check it out. He told her flatly not to buy it, she got mad at him, and then she bought it anyway. No price was too high to have that three pointed star on the tip of her hood, apparently. Then, when it broke, she blamed him for telling her it was in good shape...

Once upon a time, back in the Dark Ages, people with brains would get burned at the stake because 'only witches could see the future'. So, I guess this isn't so bad...
