Ron Paul supporter cited 4 times in Minn.

He is reported as having been belligerent and having talked himself into each ticket. That ain't right...

If you ask me though, that isn't a solid decal - it isn't obstructing his view at all!

The kids pompous attitude obviously contributed to his tickets. It is likely he showed disrespect to the officers and therefore he created his own victimhood. I'm sure he was given the option of simply removing the sign copy or making it smaller, to be in compliance with local law. If this is the kids way of "making a statement", then it's his money and his problem. No conspiracy here or little black helicopters ...... he created his own hardship.

A good definition of a Libertarian is ...... a social liberal, a fiscal conservative to the extreme, and an isolationist. These 3 things characterize Paul. These 3 things are exactly why he has no...

No, I'm not a troll. I'm a realist. Nice try at deflection, though! A sure sign of desperation ...

All this kid has to do is choose to have an attitude adjustment. It is HIS responsibility to find out what the law requires and then to obey it. Plain and simple. It's not rocket science! There are other, more creative and LAWFUL ways to get the "message" out. Civil disobedience coupled with a pompous, self righteous attitude won't cut it ..... as this young man is quickly discovering.

But .... it's his money .... right???? Wonder how many Paul supporters are willing to step up and put their money where their mouth is and pay this kid's fines??? Or better yet .... hire him a lawyer to promote his "right to free speech?"

That's what I thought .....

Desperation? Youre the one whos negative in everyone of your first posts, including your last one saying my post was a sign of desperation.. Of what? Lay off the crack.

You are indeed a troll.

Your deflections and fantasies aside, this kid broke the law several times and now he is paying the price for his actions. He made some irresponsible and reckless choices and now his wallet will be much lighter.

Now, that's the law and the way it works ..... deal with it!!!

Of course, you could also set up a type of "Ron Paul Civil Disobedience Benevolent Fund" and start taking donations to defray this kid's legal expenses .....

Putting things in people's mailboxes is indeed illegal, and no Ron Paul supporters should be doing it. I have no problem with him being fined for it. That, however, does not justify your habit of painting everyone with the "little black helicopters" brush. Nice try at deflection, though.

Edit: Whoops, I'm in the wrong thread.
In that case, allow me to rephrase: You're being even more ridiculous by bringing up "little black helicopters" here, because this kid really didn't even break a serious law. He was merely being obnoxious - and while that will indeed get you into trouble with cops, disagreeing with the "authority" of cops to nail you for "disrespect" is a far cry from "little black helicopters."

The fact is, this kid took on the lawless persona of "some" Paul supporters and he basically flipped his middle finger at local law. So, he got caught with his little hand in the ole cookie jar and now he is paying the price for his stupidity. That is his reality.

Whether or not one agrees with local and federal ordinances is a deflection of the issue. There are legal and more creative ways to work actively to change those laws. Sorry, but unlike "some" here I refuse to see this boy as a political martyr or a "voice for the oppressed". He is a lawbreaker, period ...... and now he is suffering the consequences of his REPEATED actions.

With that, I've stated my opinion and I'm walking away from this thread.

Have a good day! I know we'll see you again

If you read the article you can see where the sheriff says that the boy is rude to the cops and talks himself into a ticket every time by being a jerk. I imagine if the kid was respectful and did not have an attitude that the police would not have caused him any grief.

So, according to you, are the police the public master or the public servant?
