In an unlikely turn of events, Ron Paul picked up a quarter of the delegates available in Rhode Island’s Republican primary election on Tuesday. The campaign also received an estimated 25% of the pledged delegates from the Pennsylvania primary.

Professor Josh Putnam, of Davidson College, shared what he calls a “rough, rough delegate count,” from Pennsylvania as primary results were being calculated. Putnam lists 16 or 17 delegates as “uncommitted/unconfirmed,” and divvies up the other 19 or 20 delegates among the campaigns as follows: Romney 7 (35%), Paul 5 (25%), Gingrich 4 (20%) and Santorum 3 or 4 (20%). Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum suspended his race earlier this month, but remained on his home state’s ballot.

Word im hearing is we were 13 votes short of getting another delegate in one of our districts. :(

sigh... and that is why I get pissed about naysayers telling people there is no way to win. Making people give up is the biggest way to make that a self fulfilling prophecy. You KNOW Ron has more support than that. They just didn't show up to vote.

Why do you get pissed? When RP gets 25% of the delegates...and Romney gets 75% of the delegates....that shows we can win??

He only needs to keep Romney under 1144 first round of voting. THAT is winning.

And with this success I am scratching my head on why the Campaign isn't sponsoring an End of April PUSH Money Bomb to raise funds to advertise in the three OPEN PRIMARIES on May 8th!!!

Look what $40,000 in targeted advertising did in Rhode Island.

I have made two suggestions on the subject to the Campaign, but of course no response!!!

At least Ron is having four Fundraisers in Texas and California in the next week. Evidently, this is their preferred method of raising money.

25% / 35%. The difference in places like Texas and California may come down to just a little more effort. A few more calls, a few more flyers, a few more trips to the polling booth with friends. That could be the difference between a bright future and a dystopian one.

Encouraging article. Turn off the TV and keep fighting for every last delegate!
