Ron Paul Spokesman Says Influential Republicans Fear Change

I found this to be a pretty accurate description of how the media portrays Paul. No wonder we are having a hard time breaking through.

"The disconnect finds its roots in the establishment culture in the Republican party," Ivers told Patch. "A lot of people say they want change, but they don't. They find it scary. They fear it."

People aren't fearing 'change'...they fear RP himself for the simple reason that he is the only candidate out there claiming that the well has run dry or that we may well default on our (cough) 'obligations' in terms of entitlements. Whether RP claims to be all about exempting this group or that from the pain that follows...pain of any sort to many Americans in these primary states is simply unacceptable (apparently even many libertarians believe this as well when it comes to collective or even personal responsibility for how we all got here).

Blaming the Republican establishment for this 'disconnect' seems like sour grapes to me when you're supposedly out there simply standing up for what is well and good.

He was responding to a specific poll of specific establishment 'influential outsiders/insiders' and their statements. No one is 'exempt' from the debt, any more than anyone is currently 'exempt' from inflation caused by the debt. However, specific payments that were either paid for or are without realistic option given the current state of economic facts are prioritized as we get our house in order, under Ron's plan.

This is something we should all look at every morning -- it's exactly what we're up against, clear as day.

Looking at that chart, the ones that stand out to me are:

Pesky, Stubborn, and Peevish.

Those are words that someone uses to describe someone who will not bend to their will.

Others have described this for you, but you still don't seem to understand. Our government is defaulting each and every day. They are doing that by paying off debt with cheaper dollars that were created by increasing the monetary supply out of thin air. This is Bernanke's approach for how to deal with the debt. Create more money and debase the currency.

Dr. Paul is the ONLY candidate who has put forth a plan that faces reality and makes the needed cuts elsewhere in spending, so that Social Security and Medicare, etc. will be saved.

Now, as a lifelong Republican myself, if some want smoke blown up their behinds to pretend like what IS going on in our economy, really isn't, well, I don't know what else to say.

If no one is exempt from inflation caused by debt in "Ron's plan"...could you please explain why Ron so vivdly explains otherwise below? (from Business Insider): http://articles.businessinsider.com...020_1_social-security-default-monetary-policy

"...Changing the CPI will also enable the government to avoid giving seniors a COLA (cost of living adjustment) on their social security checks, and raise taxes via the hidden means of "bracket creep." This is a default. Just because it is a default on the people and not the banks and foreign holders of our debt does not mean it doesn't count..."

As for your second statement referring to "Ron's Plan" and (specific?) payments, realistic options and even unknown priorities without being 'specific' on any of these three (unknown) topics...I'm going to have a little trouble responding to plan components that everybody else on here must cite from memory besides me.

Aaaaaah...so the idea (and plan) is to find cuts everywhere 'else'...but (heaven forbid) NOT in the biggest entitlement programs that we have going! (I'm guessing that a little haircut in Medicaid is OK though...because all of us here can obviously afford internet service and probably won't be affected).

Shared Sacrifice, my friend...shared sacrifice.
(which is probably also the only way most of us will ever get to where we want to go if mortality stops those checks before the government ever does!).
