Ron Paul Spaceship with broadcasting "Ron Paul for President" into space satelite

You know, escape velocity for earth is about 7 miles per second.

Well, initial testing did not go well...

Don't worry though, we have a team of people in white lab coats working on this around the clock. The situation will be resolved.

I remember watching that launch as a kid.
Tons of schools tuned in on the launch because it was a big NASA education outreach project, and they had that teacher on board for that flight.

Imagine how effed up that was to watch. My first shuttle launch.
I do think the shuttle is top notch engineering. With the obvious weakness of having too much exposed area to falling debris on launch.

I believe the space shuttle is the most complex thing ever built by man.

Diet Coke cans would make for a cheap fuselage.
Light weight aluminum.

Just set the fins so they don't rotate. We wouldn't want to be bombed for setting up a centrifuge...

P.S. It would require a lot less fuel if we could launch from a few thousand feet. Would tapes of McCain campaign speeches provide enough hot air to lift a launch platform, or would we have to run a hose from the Capitol? Or would we be better off un-banning George?

It's been done.

PlzWakeUp, that is perfect. All it needs is a plastic bottle nose cone assembly! lol

Firstly, the cans need to be upside-down. Secondly, we need the Mentos injection system yet. Thirdly, if we keep it this simple it'll be all motion, no direction--kind of like a herd of cats!

lol ok guys, i'm going to get the domain and shit for this tonight or tomorrow morning.

The Ron Paul Rokcet will fly!

I'm thinking of an oil rig or a mountain top... I don't know of any mountain tops in international waters. We can't do it in America or we'll have to deal with NORAD and the FAA or whatever. Launching from a boat would be very very very hard.

Maybe we can partner up with the Lakota Nation and launch from their sovereign nation?
It may be worth checking in to.
~just a thought

Met Russell Means in D.C.
Nice guy. I'm sure his nation would allow a launch.

The Lakota Space Port.

I believe their nation covers some of the rocky mountain area, that could give us free altitude.

No, but the Black Hills do offer some head start.

Should Rhys contact Russell? Rhys seems to be spearheading this effort, and i'm awaiting this new website.

I guess we need to organize by skills.
Need a team to work on transmitter probe.

Need a mechanical team to develop the engine.

Need math geeks to crunch the numbers so we can develop the right size craft.

I'm assuming we are using rocket launched from pad design, and not a piggy back ride on a jet then launch. A jet launch could save on fuel requirements and weight.

If built well enough, the rocket could be fire in a similar manner as a missile.

So i guess there would need to be a steering committee to help with the overall direction of the project, ideally, each team would have one rep. on the steering committee.

Just because of paulville, I want to really mess with the media's head. I'm dead serious. Here's the plan. We'll start a not for profit or whatever it takes. We'll make a small satellite that broadcasts "Ron Paul for President" into space and earth. lol

We'll launch from international waters. It's seriously not as hard as you would think.

We can use model rocket engines in multiple stages just like a soyez or saturn V. If you take this serious, it's possible to broadcast Ron Paul messages to the whole universe! I know how to do this, it's not far fetched. There's a wind tunnel just a 10 minute drive from my house even.

eat that Blitzer!

You mean like get Ron Paul a ticket on Burt Rutan's SpaceShip Two?
