Just because of paulville, I want to really mess with the media's head. I'm dead serious. Here's the plan. We'll start a not for profit or whatever it takes. We'll make a small satellite that broadcasts "Ron Paul for President" into space and earth. lol

We'll launch from international waters. It's seriously not as hard as you would think.

We can use model rocket engines in multiple stages just like a soyez or saturn V. If you take this serious, it's possible to broadcast Ron Paul messages to the whole universe! I know how to do this, it's not far fetched. There's a wind tunnel just a 10 minute drive from my house even.

eat that Blitzer!

Someone on the forum wrote one thread about making a Paulville Community, and it was reported in the New York Times as a fact that all Paulians want to be excluded from "them".

So now, let them publish this new breaking story.
"Ron Paul supporters launch presidential space probe in efforts to scout a way to Mars.
The idea is to get as far away from us retards as possible."

i'm going to do some calculations. I'll get back to you all on this in a week or so. call me nutz till then. it'll be cheaper then a blimp though. :)

I've actually have some model rocket engines.
and some old two stage models i built as a kid back at my parent's house.
As built you may reach 1000ft.
It also has a clear compartment for any Frogonauts you may want to include as payload.

I thought the fed clamped down on model rocket engines after 9/11.
The one's i have are old, and may not work any more. but they had decent thrust to get reletatively heavy payload a 1000ft on two stages.

what would you launch for transmission? you know how to build a transmitter?
What is terminal velocity?

I haven't done that math since high school so i'd have to look it up again. but it can be done.

as for the transmitter, it could be done too. it can run on battery for a limited time and be made from radio shack parts.

we can do some level of guidance with http://opencircuitdesign.com/ help and maybe some people around the forums.

if we do that though, the military may have something to say about it being a guided missile. so probably just a trajectory shot.

we don't have to launch in the USA.

If you guys are really serious about this, i'll help with the electronics. I have MultiSim and a decent knowledge of circuit design.

Yes please! I'm dead serious!

OK, lets do it! I just finished up my junior year of electrical engineering, so I'm still kind of a noob. Ill help with what I can though.

You need a 4 Million Euro Chip-in.

Or 11 Million if you want to get to orbit on an American rocket.

However it would be easier and cheaper to just get a big dish and beam the message to Vega.

If you think about it, we're already doing this. And the best part is, the MSM is paying for it.

Every TV broadcast ever made on Earth travels through space and will eventually end up being received by other intelligent civilizations (if there are any). The movie Contact portrays an excellent example of what I'm talking about.

no way. $10k max for the rocket and however much to charter a boat into international waters, or maybe an oil rig!

I'll loan you H.A.L. He can keep the ship on course. That is, if he doesn't sabotage it. What's for fuel and how far out you planning on putting this satelite? Is it going to be an orbiter?
I'm staying tuned to this one.
