The Christian Science Monitor cites SPLC as to 'company Ron keeps' which is odd company itself, imho.

I didn't see anywhere to leave comments, though.

And they don't seem to know about the poll that came out AFTER Boston saying Americans are more concerned about losing their Constitutional rights than about terrorism.

Former GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul has slammed US law enforcement for responding to the Boston Marathon bombing with “police state tactics.”

In a post on the website of libertarian activist Lew Rockwell, Mr. Paul said Monday that the governmental reaction to the tragic explosions was worse than the attack itself. The forced lockdown of much of the Boston area, police riding armored vehicles through the streets, and door-to-door searches without warrants were all reminiscent of a military coup or martial law, Paul added.

“The Boston bombing provided the opportunity for the government to turn what should have been a police investigation into a military-style occupation of an American city,” according to Paul.

Furthermore, this response did not result in the capture of suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Paul charged. He was discovered hiding in a boat by a private citizen, who called police.

“And he was identified not by government surveillance cameras, but by private citizens who willingly shared their photographs with the police,” Paul wrote on Lew Rockwell’s site.

Yikes. This isn’t going to go down well in Watertown, is it? Citizens there applauded when police finally carted off Tsarnaev alive. The Boston police commissioner told his troops over the radio that “it’s a proud day to be a Boston police officer.” In the wake of the suspect’s capture the media have generally portrayed law enforcement officers as heroes.

No... he did not go too far. When the entrails of the 4th amendment are twitching on the Boston pavement, the least we could do is point it out to the sheeple.

Didn't Bill Maher virtually say the same thing a few days ago? Its the truth, they went too far and the truth hurts

I honestly think the government did this. If Ron agrees I wish he would have said that. I can't criticize him for not doing that though. No he absolutely didn't go too far. He was absolutely right.

And Paul in particular is now drawing criticism for the company he keeps. Lew Rockwell, Paul’s former congressional chief of staff, now heads the Ludwig von Mises Institute, a think tank with “deep ties to the neo-Confederate movement,” which believes the wrong side won the Civil War, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.]

what

THANKS Ron. These liars in government say they are keeping us safe by stealing our wealth and erecting these controls over us. It was private people and private cameras that solved this crime, while it was government itself that created the problem.

Paul's message is posted on Rockwell's site > Rockwell used to work for Paul > Rockwell heads LVMI > SPLC says LVMI is neo confederate.

GUILTY!

LOL - These government hacks are all the same...they must all have the "hotline" to the Soviet Paranoia Lies Center on speed dial.

It was the Soviet Paranoia Lies Center that swore it would be us blowing shit up.

LOL - Self re-enforcing media bias is self re-enforcing.

His troops?

A bunch a asshole cops hut hutted themselves into a frenzy, and at the end of the day, did nothing more than open fire in a ballistically charged circle jerk of epic proportions, on an unarmed suspect, while back slapping and congratulating themselves and their "courage", while a docile and sheeplike populace bleated their approval to the government's media organs while lying facedown in the gutter with an automatic weapon jammed in their back.

Fuck you people...

Ron is right, and the only reason anybody has anything to say otherwise about it, is because they KNOW he is right, but it just hurts too much to admit it.

And to get up in front of millions of people and speak the truth so bluntly...THAT is courage, not being man 8,762 in a 10,000 man execution squad, with full body armor, rousting Mundanes while on a hunt for a wounded teenager.

Saw this link on yahoo, surprised the comments were mostly in support of Paul, maybe there's some hope afterall.

Darn that Paul for daring me to be free. What a sicko. Hasn't he heard? Too much freedom is dangerous -and they hate us for that...

So we have to give a bit of that freedom up.. to be safe for freedom...

It's the reason we're bringing freedom to the middle east? uh... wait.. how's it go again?

See my sig Ron!
