Ron Paul says Santorum can't beat Obama (on Drudge)

the media is eating that stuff up. I'm glad Ron came out swinging against Santorum.

article is gone already. now has a "nation is slipping into fascism" article in place of it...

that is better anyway, if it is the long one, with substance. The Obamaites and Cathy Crowley think people will think he is being extreme, but I doubt they will think anything of the sort. The NDAA and SOPA are extreme.

Santorum can't beat Obama, and everyone knows it, including Obama. why do think Obama is pushing social issues suddenly?

I now refer to Santorum as Rick "The Statist" Santorum... it is his WWE meme

Guys, please don't call Rick Santorum names. It really makes us look worse than him to those coming here casually, and doesn't help Ron.

I hope Ron does not attack anyone on the debate on the 22nd. He needs to let Newt/Mitt go after Santorum so they all fight eath other. So he sticks back and talk about real issues.

Attacking works. Look at the bump Santos got from it. Ron needs to stop being the barstool in the debates.

He is the most knowledgeable on stage, yet he lets others steal the show.

I agree, he's holding back too much. There's a time early on when perhaps it was wise not to ruffle feathers, but that time has long past. He needs to stop beating around the bush... No need to be a rude, but he needs to stop beating around the bush, be frank and just tell the audience exactly who these impostors are.

this - Ron needs to bgo back to reading assignments for Rudy - what 4 books does he need to assign to Santorum this week?

Yea maybe Ron does need to attack some but I still think he should leave the majority of it to the rest. He needs to bring up issues that he has been talking about lately. For example both parties being for big government, how big businesses have influence over government, and how corruption in DC has become too big.

I have heard him talk about these issues in his own way a lot more this past week then the last 3 months. I think issues like these will motivate people who are tea party/occupy people. Calling out the government, how it is run, and his solid record I think will give him his long needed surge.

Yeah, i definitely dont understand crowley trying to play 'gotcha' with ron on this issue. I mean, how out of touch with the average american can these media/establishment thpes be?? I don't know a single person who thinks that Big Gov handouts/bailouts/tax-breaks to Big Biz (aka crony capitalism) = good.

Heck, the 'true left' (99%ers) HATE crony capitalism as much as we do (even though their solution is different). Does Candy & Co. think "facism" is a bad word or something? Do they think Ron using it makes him sound extreme? God, i hope they do because at this point, the more Ron can zero in on economy-related issues (like handouts to friendly business) the more supporters he'll get.

Call it 'populism' if you want - santorum has been wailing/demagauging away on the 'crony capitalism' for months and look at what its done to his numbers. Now that he's decided to go "all in" on social issues, theres room for Ron to sneak in and shift his message a bit to focus more on economic policy ... and win over those fence sitters who have been going with Santo bc of his more populist rhetoric
