Ron Paul Republican running for U.S. House in Texas CD6

"voter contact" is going to meetings where other voters are, knocking on doors where the primary voters are and yes, also the things you listed.

When I said "fighting for liberty" that means, I ran for Precinct Chairman in 2012, to a lady who is a cancer to our party and been in the PC spot for some time. Out of about 600 votes I lost by 17. I worked very hard for Ron Paul in the primary, my wife and I put off our wedding to be delegates, making it to the state convention. I had people sleeping on my couch that week for no charge. I worked to help get our county chair elected, who is a Ron Pauler, I stood in front of polls hours on end in 100 degree weather. I was going door to door for other campaigns also. After not being elected as PC, I still go to the meetings. I am now secretary for the volunteer committee on the Tarrant County Republican Party.

Now, I do really resent the ego comment. None of this has anything to do with ego. IM just going to go ahead and bite my tongue. False comments like that really frustrate me after the endless hours I have given in this fight. I have a wife and 2 kids, our/their future is in jeopardy, this has nothing to do with a ego.

I helped create the North Texas Liberty Group, IM one of the leaders in Open Carry Texas and Come And Take It Tarrant County. Two 2A organizations pushing for Constitutional carry.

It is ego if you're running with no chance of victory. It is ego if you're running based on wishful thinking that it *should* work out for you and that voters *should* care about the issues you want to talk about. You need a serious plan to win and I haven't heard one yet. Just a lot of wishful thinking.

Good luck! Don't let people's negativity get you down. Use it as a reason to work harder. Take their comments as things to be overcome. It may be hard, and you may fail, but you are doing more than 90% of the people.

AJA - I appreciate that you are pushing/challenging KMX to step up his game and run a professional campaign, but:

It is ego if you're running with no chance of victory....

This is a bit over the top. Most people don't get elected the first time they run for office. It takes a couple of campaigns to really establish name recognition with the constituency.

You have to take a few steps and learn to walk before you can run.

I don't know KMX personally, but from what I know of his history on this forum, I'm glad to see him making this commitment. We need more peeps to step up like KMX and give voters a choice.

Your already awesome in my book!

Do you happen to have any sources to back up these claims?

Sure, I think you're right that "most people don't get elected the first time they run for office," especially if you include perennial 3rd party candidates. But how many people actually run multiple times for office (assuming they aren't incumbents seeking re-election)? And of those people, how many win on their, say, 3rd or 4th attempt? Of those people, how many end up branding themselves as perennial also-rans that always lose? And of those people who enter a crowded primary for, say US Congress, and lose, how many of them are current lower office holders such as state legislators? Of the people who run for state legislator for the first time, how many are current city councilmen? I bet you're more likely to win your first election if it's a city council race rather than a Congressional race.

And what's your source that running multiple times establishes name-id (in the good way)? Why don't perennial Libertarians win on their 5th attempts? Surely they build their name-id with each try, right? If it's that easy, let's all run as Republicans in super-Dem districts. In 10 years we will all win with all the name-id we'll build!

Obviously I agree with your statement that "You have to take a few steps and learn to walk before you can run," but KMX isn't taking a few steps. If we apply your analogy to this situation, KMX was just born and he's trying to ride a unicycle. Things would be different if he had something special going for him such as something like national endorsements, a Ted Cruz endorsement, $2-3 million of his own money that he was able to spend on this race, etc. but none of his responses suggests this. He couldn't even commit to raising $20,000!

KMX, think of me as a skeptical potential voter. If you can win a congressional seat with less than $20,000, then that's awesome and I'd love to see that happen. But the burden is on YOU to convince me that you actually have a substantial plan to make it happen. Ok, you took the time to meet me and I like your message, so I'll vote for you, but you won't get any of my time or money if I think you have no chance of coming close to winning.

Thank you! It will be ready in about a week. Here is a sneak peak at some graphics.

Why would you run against Kuchar? Diminishing his votes, donations and volunteers?

Let me break it down for you. I am not diminishing his votes, donations and volunteers. HE DID.

I was one of the very 1st people from the Ron Paul group to support Frank. I stuck my neck out for him and told people to support him, stood in front of early voting polls for him. I invited him to speak at one of my huge liberty rallies that attracted over 300 people. I supported Frank before the Tea Party did, before the Ron Paulers in my area did. The Tea Party here in the Arlington area is not as patriotic as you would think. They have kicked us out of meetings for asking real questions and then when we were in the parking lot they say "why are you damn Ron Paulers here anyway? Nobody wants you around, nothing but trouble."

FYI Frank set up a BBQ to announce that he was running in 2014. When I showed up to support him he came right to me and asked me to be his volunteer coordinator. I said yes with no hesitation, and went right to work. I set up things, tossed ideas at him like going to the gun show, getting a table, gaining signatures and support that way. It worked great for him. I stood in 100 degree weather for him and got many signatures, drove all over the DFW. Then what? Tea Party comes to him and says, we don't want that Ron Pauler on your team. So he tossed me under the bus. Is that who you want in Congress? NOT ME!

To end this let me just add that I have talked with Frank many times and one thing I have heard him say on several different occasion is "I agree with Ron Paul on some things but not everything." Frank can not get any 3rd party votes and he won't get any Democrats to vote for him. Guess who can? ME. I am the only Republican that will take votes away from the Democrats and 3rd party. I did nothing wrong at all, I am just fighting for liberty and freedom the best I know how.

From this Story here it just seems like you got your feelings hurt. Kuchar isn't perfect. But, why try to do this to him? You're just going to further alienate yourself and others from our message. I would hate for you to waste your money and time.

Others wanted me to run, I bring in other voters the normal Republican can't. We need more leaders, not people who fold under pressure. My feelings are not hurt at all, it's just politics.

Yeah, the problem with his story is that *I* am the new volunteer coordinator (and also a Ron Paul supporter).

Sadly, Frank is not even close to a Ron Paul and I have heard him say several times. He don't agree with Ron Paul on everything. Frank did not even support Ron Paul last election. Frank voted Mitt Romney.

IM a Ron Pauler threw and threw. You can not break me.

If you don't like me running that's fine, then don't support me, but many people told me to step up, so I did.

I would like to stop talking about the situation and move on. I have nothing personal against him and I would like to stop mentioning it.
