ron paul rebate money bomb? (share your ideas!!)

Hi,

I don't know if this idea has been discussed at all, but has any one thought of organizing a money bomb centered around the tax rebate checks coming in May? RP has stated that he will continue to run as long as we continue to donate, support him at the booth, and until the convention in September. With a huge money bomb this may convince him to run as an independent. Let me know what you all think. Pros/Cons? Additional ideas? I don't know what you guys will be doing, but my $600 will be going back to the campaign to support the revolution. What about you?

It has occurred to me that if most everyone who donated to the Ron Paul campaign in the fourth quarter of 2007 would be willing to donate the exact same amount perhaps twice per year, we could be an enormous force to be reckoned with. We would have to have a leader like Ron Paul to make the call on how to spend the money. It would be a blast and a great way to make an impact and it would be better than a few dinners out and a few movies in terms of sheer entertainment. Imagine if we could finance $40 million dollars of activity yearly. I think we could literally single-handedly install a senator or two, or 8 or 10 to the House, or a governor or a hundred state representatives. Want to remove Dianne Feinstein from office and replace her with a Ron Paul Republican? Done deal. Volunteer work and $12 million in advertising... As people begin to see the libertarian solutions working it will become popular. I'm just guessing at how much money it would take to unseat a senator. Does anyone have any data on this type of thing?

If Paul is "winding down" his campaign and just making a few select appearances, I don't see the point in sending more money. Just support local candidates, if you have any that make the grade.

multi-candidate money bomb day. Get a complete list of Ron Paul republicans and set up a day for the refund bomb. Small amounts to each, or all to one if you feel. Someone run with the idea

If something would happen to McCain giving RP a chance in the GOP, or if RP would begin an independent or third party run, I would donate my rebate and every other cent I could get my hands on to him.

Anything short of that, I will donate to the various Paulitician Congressional and Senatorial candidates.

Save your money

I would pay bills with the money. If Ron does go third Party spend the money on local ads in your state so you know where and for what it's used. Don't send it to this current staff. They failed completely with over $30 million. Ron Paul is a good and honest man, however his campaign staff is A totally INEPT bunch !!! IMO
