As a network geek, I have to warn you:

Find out if your infrastructure and applications can take the load.

(i.e. transactions per second for that hour - check your effective bandwidth too)

'Lost' donations is the last thing we want to happen.

The beauty of this program, however, is that the pledge system is no different than the previous bombs. If we tried to get all of the pledges in one hour, however, the program would bring in markedly smaller amounts. And we would, then, have problems with the infrastructure and apps. But since we are not... i see no reason why we should :~)

Is there something I might have overlooked? The idea for this evolved right here on this thread... if ANYONE has anything to add, it will be considered.

The donations will be the only thing done in a single hour. And I have been assured by RP HQ that upgrades to the system, since the TeaParty crashed the boards, will safeguard this from happening again.
