Ron Paul Planned Money Bomb December 16 The Talk of the Net

November 25, 2007

Ron Paul's supporters are at it again. This time on December 16, the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. They are once again asking one and all to come forward and donate $100 or more (or less). Sportsbook.com is taking bets on how much Ron Paul will raise that day. The over/under line is five million dollars. That means that Sportsbook.com is taking bets from people as to whether they think he will raise more or less than five million dollars. Typically, sport lines tend to move as gamblers begin to place bets. It will be interesting to see just how much money the "market" thinks that Ron Paul will rake in that day. As more bets are placed, the "line" will move up or down to respond to public perception.

Is the line still at 5 mil? I thought it had already gone up to 6M already. I'd check but I am still on dial up till at least tomorrow and it takes me 1/2 hour to load that page..

Yes its at 6million now....
I'm not sure we will make over 6 mil. my projection was 5.4mil.

Thanks for checking. I think 6 mil is a pretty solid bet but I wouldn't wait any longer myself. The odds in my mind keep changing due to the new money bomb. I bet it's making those peeps nervous who bet on the over 5 mil bet before the new money bomb was unleashed.

There's been lots of action on this line in case you haven't been following this:

Haha, I can't believe the betting sites are taking bets on odds over Paul's money bomb. Great stuff. He's really getting noticed just about everywhere.

Hypothetical: Couldn't someone bet $10 million on the over, in which a win would net a profit of just over $6.6 million, then donate $6 million to the campaign. The remaining $600k would be profit for the person who did it. Sounds like easy money to me! :)

if you enough money and some know how, you could garuntee a winning bet.

You'd have to know someone with $16 million to make it work. However, I seriously doubt the sportsbook would let you put $10 million down on that bet. But hey, if someone wants to try I'd be open to taking maybe 5 or 10 percent for the idea :)

The max bet on this prop is $50. I got over 6m 5-6 odds, but the odds are now down to 2-3 (bet 30 to win an additional 20).
