Ron Paul: Our Liberties Come From Our Creator

Why in the world would you need thousands or millions to negate negative changes? You would only need one mutation. Since it would most likely get spread out due to reproduction. All types of mutation are rare including the negative types. But the thing is negative mutations usually cause a problem that would affect the ability for the genes to get passed on. A neutral or positive mutation that has added information would not usually cause problems so it would not affect the propagation of those genes through reproduction.

It is not me that has the burden of proof here. You have to prove that the kinds of changes needed for millions of years of evolution between different kinds, not species, can occur. Species are different because the variation within the kind is built into the system for understanding the genetic information. This results in different species that each have a more limited gene pool than the last, limiting their ability for further change or adaptation.

What is a "kind"? and this

" This results in different species that each have a more limited gene pool than the last, limiting their ability for further change or adaptation."

Is not correct. Speciation is a slow and complex process. Where the continual selection of favorable traits, coupled with isolation, produces new species over an immense scale of time.

And saying the burden of proof is on us is incredibly ironic. Everything I have put forward is supported by reams of evidence. There is no competing theory to evolution that has anywhere near as much evidence.

The burden of proof applies to all sides of an argument. We claim evolution is the best option to show why we have the diversity of life we do and the evidence that supports it (which we have been more than forthcoming with). While the opposition claims God has created things as they are today. But with a theory such as that evidence is needed to explain how this could be true. God did it cause god is outside of the universe is not evidence it is a statement. You can attempt to punch whole into evolution all you want but at the end of the day i have not seen one shred of evidence that supports the alternative you suggest.

... and yet at the end of the day, no person or theory can prove anything with absolute certainty....

And this thread could go on for and still never convince anybody of anything. What's the use?
