Maybe they hated the Russians because of the gulags, the purges, the imperial expansion and the generally secretive and belligerent behavior of the Soviets. Then again maybe you are right. Maybe it was all those commie sympathizers in the MSM that told us to hate them.

Maybe it was because the u.s. hated competition just like they do now and they wanted those CIS countries in russia for themselves because they have huge OIL reserves.

And don't forget that the u.s. has been putting puppet govts. in power and trying to take white belorusia and ukraine via the orange revolution funded by zionist-marxists like soros and co.
