Apparently he's going to be on Tucker tomorrow night, though. Hopefully Tucker Carlson will be on instead, though. The pundits they have on also claim that no historian supports him.
I support ron paul, but... The Civil War was a bad thing? I mean, come on...
What we should be talking about publicly is this:
I'm sure that the burning question in every Presidential candidates mind when they go on Meet the Press is one that is on the tip of every GOP primary voter's tounge ... THE CIVIL WAR???
The MSM has to throw a bone for the pundits because talking about the present is just too damn painful. Who will vote for Big Government and Endless War???
As I said last week, RP needs to spend that money on a professional PR person skilled at these kinds of venues. I would have coached my candidate to stay on message and absolutely avoid any oddball/setup questions to the point of cutting the interview short if need be. Period. The fact is they can't defend the indefensible so they have to resort to goofy/smear tactics.

Abe Lincoln pursued the Civil War to strengthen the central government, take a look at when the current central bank of the time was made and other facts.
If you guys keep nitpicking every comment Ron Paul makes, that may be controversial in the MSM, then you are missing the point of what the man is really about AND you are falling into the trap of the corporate media.
Ordinary people are sick and tired of the polished politician.
RP speaks the truth as he sees it and he doesn't care how it looks. He also allows others the same freedom. The guy will make mistakes and he will say things that may not fit in with everyones viewpoints but SO WHAT! Isn't that how the REAL world is?
Maybe he should b like 99% of the rest of them and only say things that HE believe you will agree with and/or you can handle. Is that what we want?
You should not try to turn RP into another puppet president.
The MSM wants to take these non-issues and make BIG stories out of them. That is how they operate.
Like it matters what direction Abe Lincoln took in the distant past - compared to the present moment. In my opinion anyone who is overly concerned about how RPs interviews will be viewed, is not fit to carry the torch for freedom.
The message is much larger louder than any single issue.
The TRUTH that Dr. Paul speaks is open and it is vulnerable to attack. That's what makes it so special and appealing. Do you get it?
Wake up people and DO NOT let the MSM sway you. NOW is where it is happening.
Who cares what his position was on a war a hundred years ago?
I support ron paul, but... The Civil War was a bad thing? I mean, come on...
Also, I wanted to note that I'm incredibly curious how this position affects the voters in South Carolina...
Apparently just about everyone.
Look, while you all may have a point, and may even be absolutely right, you will never convince mainstream America of that. We celebrate Lincoln's birthday. He's on the $5 bill and the penny. You are never in a million years going to convince the country that he was anything less than a hero. I suggest we drop it before it damages us any more than it already has.
