Ron Paul on Jay Leno TONIGHT?

No, we didn't pull a Fox News and exclude Ron Paul from our "Today On The Trail" segment for no good reason. Instead, he's canceled his events in New Hampshire today, according to New Hampshire Presidential Watch, in order to fly to Los Angeles and tape a show with Jay Leno. Instead, Barry Goldwater Jr. and Rand Paul, the candidate's son, will stump for him in the Granite State. Look, Leno's good publicity, but Paul actually has a chance to do something interesting in New Hampshire. Should he really have passed on the opportunity to spend one more day here?

When he was on CNN this morning he had already finished shooting the Leno show. My guess is that he will be back to New Hampshire soon today. Plus Barry Goldwater Jr. is there. And yes the Leno show will air. Why wouldn't it?

Sure but less people watch that. And I think Huck already has gotten all the media and buzz he's going to get. he won Iowa, been on Leno recently.

They just said on WMUR here that Ron cancelled today's events to fly to LA to film the Tonight show. I do hope he's back later today to do a couple more events and then be at the Manchester polls Tuesday.

Just saw that interview by Kiran Chetry. Yea RP said he just finished taping Leno today. Awesome interview and RP was more assertive about how he feels about Fox - saying it was a huge mistake on their part and they will be paying for it =)

Just because CNN says they just got done filming it... doesn't mean it's true.

I've been to a bunch of the Tonight Shows... I've been on the NBC lots countless times.

Even if you want tickets to the Tonight Show for the same day show...the NBC BOX Office, which so many tourist/locals wait in line for tickets, doesn't even open until 8AM PST, uh, that's 11AM EST. Filming/SHow is in the afternoon.

NEXT RON PAUL is not even on TODAY's (1/7/2008) TONIGHT SHOW SCHEDULE or the NBC's WEBSITE. It had this week's complete guest schedule, but no RON PAUL... know the entire SCHEDULE has been removed.

I find it extremely hard to believe that Paul 'traded' an appearance in the debate for Leno. Just because she said it in the interview, doesn't mean that it is true, or even what she meant. I think that Paul got excluded from the debate and so he found some other way to occupy his time. That's complete bullshit that he should be excluded and pisses me off tremendously. An honest chance to tell about his views on a place where voters are looking to make up their mind. Look, I don't see Leno's bit as better press, I see it as a second option, and I am not happy.

let me make it simple Fred thompson style:

Sometimes shows film segments and they get bumped for better guests. Some late night shows do this with musical guests in particular ( lets say you are an indy band and U2 decides to do the show).

All kinds of people here were saying they hope RP's interview doesnt get bumped or vanish. And I said especially in light of the strike and the fact these shows cant book Hollywood guests I doubt they could find anything to bump it with anyway. So dont worry about the sabotage conspiracy stuff.

unless you think there is some conspiracy and McCain is going to magically appear on the Tonight Show instead, i dont see where your criticism with my post is.
