Ron Paul on Jay Leno (9/4/12) - The OFFICIAL Thread

Nov 7 you guys are still going to think Ron will run/win. ;) Oh well whatever floats your boat.

There are so many reasons I am voting for Ron Paul and NONE OF THEM are because I believe he will win... I'm not stupid and delusional.
  1. For me, it's a matter of principle and convictions.
  2. I want it on my voting record.
  3. I'll sleep better at night knowing I made the right choice.
  4. I keep my promises.
  5. I want to stick it to the GOP. Voter fraud = no party loyalty.

We need to show the GOP that we stand our ground. As far as "party loyalty" goes, Obama never stole any delegates from me so I'd rather have him over Romney just to crash the Grand Old Party. Afterall, they're both one in the same so WTF do I care? We had a winning candidate and the GOP fucked it up. There's no one to blame but the GOP and honestly, I HOPE they lose.

TY!

Did we just get our answer? Again, he doesn't say no - but it doesn't sound that good...

It is not a final answer because he didn't say no. But I liked his comment about getting some rest for 2016! It is the first time he has hinted that this may not be his last run for president.

I never get tired of hearing the same old Liberty message from Ron Paul!

I hope Gary Johnson can have Ron Paul as his VP running mate.

That way dad can keep a close eye on his son Rand all the while
he's at work!

I really hate the roller coaster emotional bs every time Paul gets even the smallest amount of media attention. Not every call or interview is going to be revolutionary. Hopefully Ron drops some truth bombs and a few more people wake up. That's a reasonable expectation going in!

agreed. I hope Ron has fun and tells the truth, and gets good questions.

i dont know about 2016... he'll be 80 by then. assuming we probably want him to be 2 term president.. he'd be 88 by the time he is finished 2 terms. lol

i dont know about having a president that is 88 unless there was a VERY competent VP that can take his place if something happens.

I think he is thinking about it. Until he actually says no, then we have to assume he is considering it. What else could not saying no mean?
For some reason Ron never says "NO" to a third party run. Kinda like Goonies never say "DIE". I hope he gives a kickass interview. Leno is fair with him, last time on Leno, RP was awesome. I really hope he has fun with it and eases into retirement. He really deserves it. But damn it why didn't he wear a sweater.

He doesn't have to have more than one term.

I hope he doesn't go into retirement. I expect him at the helm of C4L, using it as an issues group to keep congress honest.
