Ron Paul needs to go all out in Thursday's debate

Paul needs to separate himself from the other candidates through comparison and by explaining why he's the economics master and they're all just a bunch of novices trying to tweak the same broken machine.

I'd go about this by "calling them out" - like they've called him out regarding Iraq - on various specific economic issues.

This offensive approach will catch the "cogs" off-balance and subsequently will expose their lack of knowledge.

I'd also point out - in a classy way - that they're all bought and paid for by corporations and that's who they represent and that's who they care about.

What if he took his 90 seconds, ignored the question he is asked, and directly addressed the American People. Look directly into the camera and talk about what is happening with our economy in clear, concise terms, scare the people, then offer a palatable solution....including electing him President.

He needs to start pimping himself.

yess

during the debate, RP should say "btw, all of you watching right now who agree with my position, I ask you to go to ronpaul2008.com and make a donation"

He should start attacking all of them on economy! Even Mitt Romney; who'se now running away with the 'conservative economy'-voter.

I have said this before and will say it again - if any of those douchebags laugh this time, Dr. Paul should directly ask them in their face - "DO YOU FIND THIS FUNNY, BIOTCH?"

He needs to come up with some brilliant and impacting sound bites like "we can achieve much more through peace than we ever could in war" <-- this one was pretty good one. He needs more of those, because the general public respond more to how a person speaks and presents themselves than the content of what there presenting.

Any of you old enough to remember how Reagan won his debates?

I want to see a cocky grin and hear him drive some points home using humor. It is very much time!

We've done a good job driving Dr. Paul's name into their minds. Time for him to win some hearts!

Let's hope we see more of the new aggressive Ron Paul that we saw in the Fox debate.

With Hunter out and Thompson not attending, that leaves 5: Huckabee, McCain, Romney, Giuliani, and Paul.

What we need to do is pump that debate to everyone, and ask them to tune in to see Ron Paul's economic answers, and write everyone to ask Ron Paul about the economy.

Then we need to ask them to donate to Ron Paul after the debate.

The main thing he needs to do is give his answers in a simple and succinct manner. And he needs to focus on how his answer is different that the rest. Finally, he needs to focus on the SOLUTION as much as he has been focusing on the problem. RP comes accross as simply critical and negative and people are unclear on what he WILL do.

He too often gets bogged down in high level concepts that go right over the average voters head. KISS.

He needs to go on the offense, he also needs to talk more about his positions. Let the american people know that he's for abolition the IRS, bringing back the troops, radically changing the budget... he needs to list this stuff. Because he spends so much time on the defensive, which I can understand with questions like "are you electable?", i'm not sure if people understand what he's about.

He needs to sneak some offensive stuff in there why Fox is trying to put him on the defense.

We need to pump Ron Paul, and get people to watch the debate for his monetary answers, and the media to ask him questions. We need to get people to watch, and donate money after words.

And I most sincerely think we need Ron Paul to put that federal chairmen under the committee spotlight again immediatly.

I hope he comes out swinging. Now would be a great time to go on the offensive.

I'll put it this way......this election is for Ron Paul to win or lose at these next debates.

He needs to refine his message in a way that connects with people. If he fails to do so, we will have a rough Super Tuesday. If he succeeds, the consequences will be enormous. C'mon Ron! Practice those debate skills!

I believe, he'll come out more aggressive. As for coming out swinging I'm not so sure he'll do that. He's not the attacking type, yes he'll point out gaffes of the other candidates. But, I don't believe Ron is the attacking candidate.

I think a polite, but confrontational approach should be taken.

"Mitt, you're wrong because..."

"John, that's not how it really works..."

+100

I also think he needs to focus on how his policies will work- really sell his solutions to the public.

What we need to do is pump that debate to everyone, and ask them to tune in to see Ron Paul's economic answers, and write everyone to ask Ron Paul about the economy.

Then we need to ask them to donate to Ron Paul after the debate.

Absolutely! There's a super fun way to watch the upcoming debates and tie donations to what the candidates say coming soon. Keep an eye on this thread: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=92537 for updates.

He got a great one in on the last Fox debate, "now could I please participate in this debate".

I think Dr. Paul has been holding out on us. He's got a great deal of fire in his veins and I think we will see that become more evident. Jan 24th debate in Florida & Jan 30 debate in California - I can't wait!

Yeah... recall his "performance" on the Morton Downey Jr show in the 80s. He needs to bring SOME of that ferocity back.

He needs to get pissed. Blame the neocons for this stock crash. I mean hulk out and rage at the bastards. An Old Testament jeremand!

LOL!!! Hulk out---that's not something I can see Ron doing, but it'd be hilarious! He'd look like combination of these two faces::mad::D

I really, really like the idea someone posted above for Dr. Paul to ask John McCain, point blank, if he thinks that we are in a recession NOW. That would have a nice impact - especially if RP can throw back John's own words at him for what? two weeks ago.
