Hey all, new poster here, long time lurker.

Ron Paul is my hero and I salute the man. 'One thing though; he needs to create an alarmist appeal if he is to win silly neocon (the deformed GOP) votes. Ron Paul needs to clearly and URGENTLY pronounce the economic COLLAPSE this country is headed towards, the demographic upheavel in the southwest (illegal immigration) and the dangerous route to a militiristic police state US that will be vastly different to the America we know. He needs to let people know that if we continue this route, we could risk losing our wealth and our livelihoods with a major depression. Imagine Detroit and GM under this kind of recession if the economy continues like this, the housing market, entrepreneurs, and working men and women (tax suffocation and NO representation).

All of the other candidates use campaign tactics, why can't Paul? Plus, he's always honest, he would just be added a little more urgency and desperation (yet strength) in his tone.

Of course, he would supply ample and viable solutions (as he always does) to the problems that are approaching us in the near future.

What do you guys thing?

I agree with this posting. We are on the verge of an economic crisis and we are debating like it is a slight chance. Frankly, the economic issue is not getting near the play that it should. How many Americans have lost their job, their home, or been affected ove the past couple of years. Our standard of living is dwindling and only RP is talking about this.

They say that our federal deficits are a little over 9 trillion dollars. What's that? Well a million is 1,000 thousands, a billion is 1,000 millions, and a trillion is 1,000 billions. Who can count that high!!! One thing you can count is that we are a country is distress. If the ship is sinking, it isn't fear to run for the liferafts and yell out to tell others. They say that our debt obligations thru social security and others is close to 50 trillion. The dollar is on the ropes...wake up people!

Yes, Ron Paul should be emphatic and somewhat alarmist. We have little time to change things and he is the man with the answers. Unfortunately, prophets are rarely listened to until it is too late!

Fear is for people without an intelligent message. Dr. Paul is plenty emphatic already.

I don't think fear should be used.

that's why you will never be a great politician. Fear sells. Fear is why people give up their liberties and freedoms. Fear is what enables the Government to run our lives. Fear is the strongest motivator of all. Fear should be used. Ron Paul needs to use everything in his power. He needs to act like a winner, not like some pussy that's happy with 5th place everywhere. I say, use Fear and attack the other candidates like they attack him. Fight back.

These "republicans" respond to fear and action. My heart aches after watching this luntz fellow. I agree that Ron has to direct the attention of these people to the REAL issue of our day. fearmongering and bringing light to the real issues is different

I respectfully disagree with the original post. There is a difference between a healthy rational fear and an alarmist position.
The first faces the facts soberly and thruthfully, the latter loses reason.

If people are already leary about hearing his message because the media has labeled him a "cook" I think the alarmist strategy would be a bad choice. Fear never persuaded me, but that's just me.
