Ron Paul must make a 1 minute foreign policy ad (COLLINS TAKE NOTE)

Agreed. The ad should highlight his military experience, the support he has from the troops, maybe a little bit with Michael Scheuer, etc, etc.

Maybe make a longer web ad, and the 1 minute TV ad.

Translation of Ron's position on Osama Bin Laden into Neocon/Republican speak:

Process matters. Following the rule of law and the constitution matters. Ron would have

1. Informed Pakistan that we had located OBL. Given them 24 hours to turn him over or he would have him surgically removed

2. Try him for the murders on 9/11.

What could possibly be wrong with that?

Ron paul must make a 1 minute foreign policy ad (COLLINS TAKE NOTE) ... In which explains his point of view. In a manner that is easily digested and understood.

A masterful script With Nuances That touch fear mongering, Rush to judgement, Create enemies, Neo conservative manipulation, Economic drain.... Makes us less safe.

This needs to run in south carolina.

I agree, and another ad explaining how his economic plan would be the only plan to sustain Social Security.

I agree. I'm still waiting for this. We have good attack ads on other candidate, but IMO we also have to address our perceived weaknesses, foreign policy and electability.

Foreign Policy.

Social Security and its Preservation.

Electabililty.

These are the 3 high-quality ads that we need immediately.

If the campaign is not going to do them, then someone should start a SuperPAC to do them. I would happily donate.

Foreign Policy is electability. We are only perceived as hard to elect in the primary because of misinformation.

I disagree, electability is "well I agree with Ron Paul but he has no chance to beat Obama so if we nominate him it means 4 more years of Obama".

That's why we need to highlight all those polls that show Ron Paul can beat Obama and the rest of the candidates (besides Mitt) cannot.

OP,

Lots of people have been saying this for a long time...

Hopefully we can get something going now.

He needs something. People do not understand his foreign policy at all, and he doesn't help it in the slightest. He emphasizes military vs defense, the problem is that just confuses the heck out of people. Paul needs to just tell everyone exactly what he would do; under what conditions he'd fight a war; what bases would he close;etc. nobody understands, and it's Paul's fault

I fully agree. And hope to see this happen, it's not the economic policies that people doubt it's just the foreign policy.

Proposed 60 second spot:

1) "Ron Paul is right on foreign policy." (Image of younger Paul in military days)

2) "That's why Paul receives more donations from active duty personnel than all other candidates combined." (Graph shown)

3) "Most Americans agree with him that it's time to leave Afghanistan." (Graphic showing poll numbers and source)

4) 10-15 second clip from Michael Scheuer, 10-15 second clip from a Colonel in support of Paul. (Show expenditures chart from post #29)

5) "Paul supports a strong defense, and opposes wasteful spending that hurts our defense." (Graphic of bloated bases, $900 screwdrivers)

6) "Our fighting men choose Ron Paul for President. Support our troops. Bring them home." (Another graphic of younger Ron Paul in uniform)

7) "This is Ron Paul, and I approve this message."

It sounds like you people want them to just remake that ad.

The ad should not be remade, just complimented with a second spot like the one I outlined, where Paul is specifically shown in uniform, his foreign policy is specifically stated to be correct, and his views are explicitly backed up by the troops and trusted experts.

Yea, that Secure ad needs to be remade.

They need to add Michael Scheuer's endorsement and how Ron Paul wants to support Israel more effectively through free trade.

And when they do, which they need to release a new foreign policy ad (or that one remade) quickly, we need to reset the standard of making things go "viral."

My 2 cents

Emphasize this two things:

Golden Rule - Don't be afraid of following Christ's teachings.

There's nothing dangerous in following the Constitution.

Make these two points.

I agree with the op but I wish Ron would just come out and say,

"WE'RE BROKE!!! IF WE KEEP GOING TO WAR OUR DOLLAR WILL BECOME WORTHLESS!! WE NEED TO END THIS FOREIGN MILITARY WELFARE!! LET THOSE COUNTRIES PROTECT THEMSELVES! LET'S SPEND THAT MONEY ON AMERICA INSTEAD!!!!!!!! LET'S CREATE MORE MILITARY BASES IN AMERICA INSTEAD!! LET'S BUILD UP AND GUARD OUR COASTLINES!!! SCREW THE GLOBALIST WAR MONGERS THAT ARE BANKRUPTING OUR COUNTRY!"

Major loud applause happens. btw jessie ventura would say something like this.

I would end the ad saying...

"Support the troops, support Amercia, Only Ron Paul."

Definitely agree. Get Rand to consult, since he takes nearly the same position's as Ron, yet doesn't get much flack from typical Republicans for it.

I can't believe after so many threads and people wanting another foreign policy ad, the campaign hasn't put one out. They would have been smart to unleash one in S.C.

We've really got to things going with this. People who can directly contact the campaign, please do so. We can have a money bomb to kick it off, too.
