Ron Paul Military Supporters

Good work hambone1982. Hope you are reaching out & talking w/ your Army friends-

I heard that he received more active-duty military campaign contributions than any other candidate in 2008, but I don't recall seeing the cite.

EDIT: looks like the truth is not as pleasant as I thought:

Paul had the most as of Q4 2007. After Obama had been all but guaranteed the nomination and it was realized that Paul had no chance, it's no surprise that Obama passed Paul.

Our Ron Paul Military supporters in action, nice work fellas! I love these numbers.

Military members and Veterans donations for 2008 Republican Presidential Nomination

Huckabee - $29,360.32
McCain ... - $42,354.00
Romney ... - $9,328.00
Giuliani .. - $15,167.00
Total ....... - 96,209.32 ...... Ron Paul - $131,078.33

WOW! This thread has grown quickly...

Thanks to all who have served.

To those who want to disparage the military and tell us to man up, perhaps you should take a little walk in our shoes. Sign up for one enlistment. Then criticize us.

Current USCG AD. I never wanted to join a combat branch, and I didn't want to go into debt which is basically forced upon the populace because of .Gov policies going to school. I can't wait to get out. The military is definitely not remotely within my personality. I do have to say this though, there are a lot of great people in the military who it was a pleasure to meet. My Captain is great and shares the same logical rigour as myself and we had a laugh about how inept the ACoE are. Without a price mechanism we could have never have made a judgment because they are spending more than the 7 billion they supposedly say will be lost if we let Asian Carp into Lake Michigan...blah blah. There is so much corruption, waste, fraud, and abuse in all levels of Government.

Veteran USAF Security Forces... military life wasn't for me, but I served over three years active duty and learned a lot. I went back home and joined the sheriff's department just to find out that it's not much different.
