I have said from probably one of my first posts on these forums months ago:
This movement is not just about Ron Paul.
It seems that while some supporters knew this, and Paul absolutely knew this, many of whom I am reading comments from on this board did not.
I firmly believe that is what these emails are about. Paul knows, now, that whatever happens on that floor in Tampa isn't as important as what is happening on the floors of all of these state conventions. We all need to understand this too.
There are HUNDREDS of Paul-supporting liberty lovers filling the ranks of the GOP daily now. Hell, I am one of them, soon to be a County Committeeman and running for local Township Committee (it's like the Town Council) in a battleground county in a normally D-leaning state. If I win this election (BIG if), the GOP will take notice. They have given up hope here. A GOP committeeman has not won in this town since 1992. With how important our town is to our county, the local GOP will HAVE to listen to what I want because they will know that this is how they win. And that is just one of the many victories that we can have leading to us eventually winning.
In Star Wars, Obi-wan proudly proclaimed on the day of his defeat that if he is struck down, he would become more powerful than Vader could ever imagine by empowering Luke to defeat the Empire. That is exactly what Paul is doing for us. He has been silently defending liberty in the background, in the face of sure tyranny, while he watched over new heroes, still oblivious to their roles, growing up. He isn't likely going to win the nomination, and he can't go on for 2016. He is too old, too tired to fight on. But he knows the importance of this fight.
That is why he keeps telling us that despite this, we need to FIGHT for liberty. We need to USE THE FORCE of the Grassroots behemoth that we have assembled, and switch off our targeting computer (the campaign) and go by our hearts and minds.
Dr. Paul has taught us the power that we wield, but it is our responsibility to learn it and trust it, despite what may seem like the definite way to victory.
Our next steps will play out like "THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK". We can expect huge retaliation after the elections this year from the establishment. Will we be like Luke and foolishly ignore the claims of Obi-wan (Paul) and attempt to take on the heart of the establishment prematurely? Probably. We may even lose some ground. But the seed is sowed, and we are too powerful now to simply fall. We will simply pull back and regroup.
They can cut off as many of our hands as they want. We will win this fight, and this country will be ours again. Through my victory. Through every liberty candidates' victory. Through Dr. Paul's sacrifice.
Keep on fighting. THis is our country, not Dr. Paul's alone.
