Ron Paul is hinting at quitting race - CNN Front-page

They may want to impact remaining primaries due to Juan McCain's FEC problems. I strongly feel that if McCain gets out of the matching funds program, people will make an issue that he should lose his delegates from states that he used to program to get on the ballot since he didn't collect the required signatures.

Why else would Ron Paul want us to keep pressing for delegates? Keep the fight going people!

He said that "although victory in the conventional political sense is not available in the presidential race, many victories have been achieved due to the hard work and enthusiasm of his supporters."

Maybe some reading between the lines is necessary, 'although victory in the conventional political sense is not available in the presidential race' , RP could be hinting at ending his race for the presidency as a GOP candidate (conventional), and continuing in the unconventional sense as an Independent candidate.

Maybe wishful thinking on my part, or may be his plan. having said that, the last part of that quote remains true, either way.

What's Next?!

You have to wonder why they would do this now, after they declared McCain the winner already. But with Ron Paul the only opposition to McCain, getting people who might have cast a protest vote for Paul to think he has already dropped out could keep voter turnout low could be the goal. Of course, this is just rampant speculation, but something to think about nonetheless.

Why do so many people think this?!

The "protest votes", as you call them, will likely be non-existent in the extreme. One only needs to refer to the primaries held since Romney dropped. He actually came SECOND in one of them!

Put simply, Romney and Huckabee are still on the ballot and will likely stay there all the way to the convention (Romney especially as he has NOT ended his campaign) and their supporters are NOT going to vote for Ron Paul as they "know" he cannot win either.

Now, all of that said, let's just stop and THINK for a second.

WHY ARE THE MSM STILL TRYING TO MARGINALISE US?!

If it isn't protest votes, then what?

Simple...

Look at the grassroots reports coming out of Texas. McCain got a large whack of popular vote, but died on his arse regarding delegates. Lots of the votes that McCain DID NOT get went to Romney and Huckabee too but they did VERY badly in the quest for delegates (in fact I have yet to read a report that claims that either of them received ANY!)

So, what are the MSM doing?

They are trying to convince those RON PAUL SUPPORTERS who are not attached to the grassroots movement as tightly as we are to stop wasting their time, sit back and watch McCain win the nomination and sail the convention.

They are SCARED! They know what we are doing and now, when they have played all of their cards regarding drop-outs, black-outs and call-outs, they have nothing left in the tank but downright lies.

So, what do WE do about it?!

EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING!

Dream, work hard, dream, convince a friend or family member, dream, donate, dream, march, dream, WIN!

Get everybody that you know to attend the primaries in your state and become delegates. Call your local state party HQ and ask if there are any delegate slots left to fill (lots have some, some have lots!) and get them filled with RP delegates.

People vote to demonstrate the popular vote. When was the last time the general public's wishes made the blindest bit of difference when it comes to policy? A vast majority of the US public (and the UK too) oppose the War In Iraq, and yet there we are, still there, and now looking at another 100 years stuck in the mire!

Don't stop...Now is the time to REDOUBLE our efforts.

This is not even CLOSE to over and the MSM know it!

McCain is being investigated for his invovement in the Abramoff- Bureau of Indian Affairs- Casino scandal. He withheld a paragraph in an email that implicated himself in criminal wrongdoing. He has also been connected to railroading Seigelman to keep gambling exclusive to Louisiana and Mississippi and out of Alabama.

Although the media apparently only listens to keywords.

You'd think a bigger story would have been "Presidential candidate, and member of the Banking Committee's Monetary policy sub-committee believes disintegration of the American empire is imminent".

this is why i got so pissed but i figured everyone knew about this last night or early morning.

where is HQ ,are they gonna wait until after convention to address all this false reporting. I mean geeez sigh pant ugh

any dam all the msm... DONT FORGET YAHOO frontpage reporting same crap
